[Suprises]

My parents and aunts left this morning to go down to KL to visit my uncle. I wasn't expecting my cousin to be here coz he didn't want to come so early in the morning. Joey and I came downstairs at around 10am and got breakfast.. I walked into the living room to turn the computer on and i was like OMG HOLY CRAP.. My cousin was sitting on the couch, on the computer. Didn't expect him to be there at all. I guess this day isn't gonna be so boring after all....

[Radio Active]

We were walking around Ipoh Parade yesterday. Bum City was open. Wasn't the last few times we were there. I love that place. It's got bags, hats, caps, necklaces, rings, LOTSA STUFF. I could buy the entire store if I had the $$$. After walking around the entire store. There was nothing. Well actually there were a few things. I had my eye on a bag. But still undecided so we walked on. Went to the crystal store to get a few stones and bracelets. haha I went back to Bum City to get that bag. The precious. Oh yeh on the way we stopped by a store called Ruffles? Something like that. I got a radio active hat. I loooooooove it. I got so many hats this trip. But I think this one's theeeee best. I got the radio active bag.. =)))))))))) Perrrrfect.. Today we had to go visiting AGAIN.. Had lunch that Hailams again. That noodle shop. And we are probably going to Jaya Jusco later tonight, after dinner. Supposed to be window shopping. But what is shopping when you can't buy anything. haha. Unless it's stuff I don't like. I have 8 Ringgit and 35 sing dollars left. I wonder if I get to keep my ezlink card. The only place left in Singapore I want to go to is Far East Plaza to go to Radio Active. haha. I didn't get a chance to look around that place when I got my belt. Still haven't visited Takashimaya yet. But ah well. Radio Active... my last 35 bucks is gonna be spent there.

[log with legs?]

lol.. We just came back from lunch at Tuk Kee. Joey calls it Ken-Tuk-Kee... Anyway, we were outside the house and there was this HUGE monitor lizard outside the neighbours gate. My mom was like OMG LOOK AT THAT.. I have never ever seen a monitor lizard in the wild before. We were gonna take a picture but it ran into the drain. Creepy.. And there's this squirrel that lives around this house and has been chewing holes in the ceiling. Joey saw the squirrel yesterday and she was like "Awww so cute" and Twa Kor was like "That's the squirrel that has been biting holes in the ceiling". There's masking tape covering the holes.

[Down Memory Lane]

Recently got added by an old classmate from MGS. Apparently she's applied to move to Vancouver, B.C too. Never really spoke to her before. But when she found me on Friendster, she added me and at first I thought she moved. Coz her profile said Vanvouer, B.C. They're planning to move. But haven't gotten a reply yet. Still waiting... Hope she moves! We can meet up!! But then she might move far away.. Hm she has distant relatives in Granville. That's kinda far...

-11:33pm-
I was reading through my old posts. Found a LOT of mistakes. Typos.. Errors.. It's so ....memorable to record what i do everyday. When you read it, you picture yourself re-living the best days ever. I really can't wait to play a game of badminton. But I don't like the Guildford Rec Gym. Just doesn't give you that sort of badmintonY feeling. In school, that atmosphere.. I don't know.. I just never play well on Sundays at Guildford.. Maybe coz my dad's there???? hmm... Maybe it's the light from the window.. Maybe it's the people around me??

[A Poison Tree - William Blake]

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I water'd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright;
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.

And into my garden stole
When the night had veil'd the pole:
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretch'd beneath the tree.

[Mah MP has ARRRRRIVED]

Got a call from Yee Kor just now saying that my racket has arrived. She was on her way and asked for the weight [string tension] coz she forgot. Then called a second time to say that there was no other colours for BG-66 cept white. I guess white is ok. White matches any colour. And she managed to get the BG-80 in Royal Blue. I can't wait to see 'my preciousssss' lol.. Finally have a racket. My very own.. muahaha... ok getting creepy..[Thank You Yee Kor!!]

[Hot Hot HOT]

Yesterday was soooooOOooOoOoOooOo HOT.. Had to get up at around 8 to go for Dim Sum breakfast. It wasn't the best tasting Dim Sum. Anyway, after that we drove around... Just had to go drive around housing estates to view show rooms. The heat!! They were pretty nice houses. But the SUN.. It was by a lake. But nothing much. If it were cooler, it would be nice. But it's too hot. you'd probably have to turn the air conditioning on forever if you wanted to survive out there. That would make it even hotter. We saw the house furnished, and then unfurnished. Nahh it's not such a good place. Watching Kiki's delivery service. Only it's in Japanese...Ok after viewing those homes, we went to Makro. Like big ware house selling stuff in bulk. Headed over to Uncle Pin's place for a while then back home to get my grandmother to go out for lunch. Went to some porridge place. lol But I had rice. Colin was playing with toothpicks, Tristan was listening to his music and Joey was playing her GBA. Everyone came back to my grandmother's place to watch Farenheit 9/11. Was talking to my friends about it and I still have those pictures that Yee Kor took of the twin towers being hit. Watched New York Minute, followed by Cheaper By the Dozen. My parents went out for dinner and brought us KFC back.. mmmm.. My mom sent Joey upstairs and the both of us watched Monsoon Wedding. Don't know where Twa Kor disappeared to. oo I'm talking to a friend from Webbs. She said they bought a saddle. heh. All little kids this year...Her and Clem were the oldest and they're probably in grade 9 next year or something. Anyway... today... I feel like sitting and sitting and sitting all day. It's cooler outside. Not sure if we're going out but I wanna stay home.

[Spiderman...third time?]

I'm finally in Ipoh. The trip here was not one of the best. I couldn't sleep properly. haha They played spiderman 2.... 3 times!! We've seen it 3 times!! The sky was so pretty last night. I've never seen that many stars. But too bad the tv monitors were too bright. Had to press against the window to see them. But there were sooooooo many.. I could sit there all night..

Had to go out for lunch. Then go visit my cousins. We looked at photos and home videos..I've seen those sooooo many times..When we came back, Joey continued watching The Cat in the Hat. Then we watched Mr Deeds, which didn't work near the end. So screw that.. We had dinner.. porridge.. after eating out so much.. Porridge is so plain. I watched How to Deal after. My dad got the wireless connection working! Booya! I replied a few emails..and talked to a few friends. Too bad no one really comes on at this time. Even people from Singapore don't come on. It's Friday!!!! 9 days and we'll be back in Singapore. 9 seems like a small yet big number. But when you look at it in weeks. It doesn't seem that long.. Then another 10 days in Singapore and we're back to Van! I hope the plane ride isn't going to be stressful....I'm kinda sick of travelling. My racket is coming on Monday and Yee Kor shall be collecting it as well as a pack of strings and another polo. Hmm have I been repeating myself?? blehh

[New Dog... New House]

Since the Sharpei is coming tonight. My mom and the maid have spent the whole morning weaving coconut leaves. We have a dog house at the back of the garden and it's really old in there. Aww poor dog. Aren't Sharpei's indoor dogs?? It's so icky in that dog house. Anyway, the woven coconut leaves are going to be placed on top of the house as a new roof. The original roof is kinda "holy"...It's infested with mosquitoes tho. I just stood there for a few seconds to take a picture and I got bitten so many times. Awg..

[Spiderman II....twice!]

This morning, I woke up to see everything blurry and spinning. I was soooo dizzy I couldn't walk straight. Broke out in cold sweat for a bit. The whole morning wasn't much. I had 3 glasses of Ribena. hehe that's a lot of ribena. Took a while for the giddyness to leave. Had porridge and chicken wings for lunch then was supposed to go out. It's Yee Kor's birthday today!! [Happeeeee Barfdaeeeeee~! harhar] We watched Spiderman 2 again coz there was nothing else to watch and we were too late to catch Mean Girls, which I have seen already. The theatre was soooooo cold. Thankfully I brought my jacket along. Let's see what did we do today.... oh yeh, went to DP Architects to kill some time before the movie.. We went to Giordano..I got a pair of bootlegger jeans..

My mom's friend called to say that her son, who plays badminton, could get my racket at student price. That's about 50$ less than what I'm getting it for. So we called my aunt to cancel the other one. But my mom's friend called after to say that the racket has been tested by a few people. I wasn't sure about it then. Coz a few people who try it each time per game could be a lot of playing.

My grandmother said that her friend is bringing over a sharpei tmr evening. I can't wait to see it. It's 5 years old and if it's a good dog, my grandmother may consider keeping it. Awwww another dog in the house. That makes 3!! It'll be staying with us for a month til my grandmother has to decide.

[Crammed MRT]

I went out for dinner at the 7 Story Hotel with my family, aunt and another friend. We had to take the bus then MRT to Bugis. The train stations were really crowded..It's like after work and people are coming out in large groups. So we try to squeeze in but the doors don't close. God I felt so crammed. It's the worst place to be. All around you there are people and you have their hands and bodies all over you. Oh Gawd don't want to think about it.. and the smell and heat in the train.. BLECHHHH.. The doors wouldn't close coz there were so many people at the doors and it closed and opened a few times coz there were people standing in the way of the censor. The train just wouldn't move. I couldn't stand how the intercom said for people to get off the train and more people came on. JEEZ~! I couldn't bear that gross man infront of me standing so squished together with his hands all over.. AWGHH.. I got off and took the next train which wasn't as packed but STILL packed. THANK GOD it was only one stop!! Had hainanese chicken rice then swensens ice cream.. mmm mint with melted marshmellows. The mint here is so much mintier..I really hope my racket has come.. The guy hasn't called!! My aunt said she's gonna call the guy. And my string colour selections are either silverish grey, black [yes yee kor yes.. black!!], if none of the colours are available, then i guess i'll have to stick to plain old white. Tomorrow, we're going to collect my mom's spectacles from Bras Basah.. at the same time maybe get the battery on my watch changed. Hope there isn't water in it. I left it in my pocket onces and it got washed.. ehheh..And hopefully get my racket.. oo and we're watching a movie tmr...I was thinking of going to the zoo.. i guess we're a bit too busy tmr..

[Storm]

Have been home for the past 2 days. Haha, making up for those 2 we spent out. My mom was out yesterday and today, yep, she's out again. My dad's at work so we don't see him the whole day unless we meet him out there. I've been reading badminton forums. You actually learn a lot from them. But it seems a lot of people have different opinions about different strings or rackets. My racket, I think I'm gonna get it strung with a Yonex BG-66 string. Someone in the forum said that it's similar to BG-80? Or 85. One of those...and that it's a really thin string. They mentioned that it might snap after a few weeks of heavy play. But do I hit as hard as...whoever? I can't wait til I can get on a court and play.... It's been forever since I last played. It just started raining. Ok the power just went out. But I'm on the laptop so it didn't go out. When it rains here, it's so scary. The power goes out every single time it rains. Hmm I think I'm gonna go check on Mindy[Grandmother's dog]... She's probably hiding in the closet. Troubled dog. Gets scared really easily. Wonder what made her this way...

[2 whole days...out]

Phew. Been 2 busy days. On Saturday I went out in the morning with my Yee Kor to Harbour Front. Had lunch there, mmmmm chicken rice.. nothing much to get from there. I had to go to the bank to close an account i think.

After that, we took the MRT to Queensway to meet Aunty Amy and family.. and my dad. Queensway is like this sports mall. Almost every store in there has to do with sports. Most of them we passed where soccer stores. FINALLY found a Yonex Racket store. Everything's yonex in there. First time I've seen a store with that many rackets and... yeh everything's yonex. I looked through the rackets.. No MP-99. So we asked the guy and he said they sold out. According to him, they sell about 6 MP-99s and 11 MP-100s a day. So we had to order from him and he said their stock would probably arrive next Weds. If they arrive tmr then he'll call us. He's selling the MP-99 for 200$.. phew cheaper than the other guy [220$].. He'll string it for me with the best strings. Or whatever my choice is.He said BG-66 is probably good for me..Don't know what grip he's putting on. I don't really care..as long as it's grippy..haha.. But then.. what colour should I get? He said he can put the strings on before we come and when we arrive it'll be done. Takes half an hour for him to string it. What matches yellow.. or orange.. black!! hmm i can't wait!!!

Since we had Aunty Amy with us, we went back to Bras Basah. She has the Popular bookstore discount card. Got all the stationary we wanted. Had dinner at a SeaFood restaurant around East Coast. Wasn't the best. hm We ordered baby squid, chilli crab, deep fried tofu, veg....There was a group of Japanese tourists who just happen to choose the same restaurant as us to have dinner at so they were being served first. Kinda unfair. We waited so long for our dishes. Takes them forever to bring you what you want even when you ask them over and over. And the food was probably already done, ready for them to take out. Ah well...oo We drove to the Esplanade Mall. I love that building. It's like 2 spiky round balls. Really nice.. Had Haagen Daz [blehh how do you spell that] ice cream.. so good.. It's so funny how ice cream here can he amazingly cheap and amazingly expensive. Haagen Daz = $4.50 Regular Ice Cream parlour = $1.50 KFC ice cream = $1 Mac D's = $0.50 and sometimes people still go for the extremely expensive ice cream... Expensive but goooooood. I had coffee.. so gooooood.. We took a walk along the Water Front.. Took many pictures of the high rises. Really nice. I could sit there all night and watch the lights. The national day rehearsal was going on that night too. I remember when I was in grade 5 and our whole grade was taken to the stadium to watch the National Day Parade. Our night was pretty long. Managed to get some good pictures of the Esplanade and the hig rises and the Merlion. Oh yeh! When we were at Harbour Front, we saw Sentosa Island and the BIG merlion statue that was there. The "daddy" merlion. Now we've seen the whole family. The mom and baby merlions can be seen from the Waterfront and the dad is on Sentosa Island.

-Sunday-
Today, we had to get up early for breakfast. We met my parents old friends for breakfast at Suntec City at the Kopitiam. Still don't get how people can eat stuff like that for breakfast. I was feeling kinda sick after finishing my plate of noodles. Took a walk. 'Why Pay More' put out more Yonex Badminton Polos. I got 2 for David [haha David. 2 now.. let's see what I can find on Weds!] Walked through Carrefour and got a cd wallet. Had to wait for my parents and their friends for so long..-__-... Then we took the free shuttle to the MRT station to go to Yew Tee for our lunch appointement with Aunty Dot and those bunch of people. Had to sit through so long.. sigh.. Had to take a cab back for yet ANOTHER appointment...Dinner with my grandmother..Finally back home. My leg aches.. We're having another gathering on National Day. I'll be back from Ipoh, Malaysia by then and I'll hopefully have my racket. Hope the weather permits and we can go downstairs to play!! I crave badminton.. haven't played in so long.. I'm about ready to go back to Vancouver. Getting tired... Doesn't seem like I've been here long. Feels like we only just arrived.. but then...about 20 days left!!! 10 in Ipoh, 10 back here and then we head back on a Thursday. Which mean's we arrive Thursday BC dates? I think Aunty June's gonna fetch us so we'll prob arrive in the afternoon or late afternoon. =) Ok.. thinking to far ahead..

[ProAce ABS POWER 1000]

Went to Bras Basah Complex this morning. My mom had to get her glasses done so while she got that done, my sis and I went to look at badminton rackets. I didn't know they sold rackets there. I found my MP-99. Only it's 220$ prestrung. Not sure how much it is unstrung. We found another store that sold rackets and badminton gear. A lot of MPs but no 99. We asked the guy if he stocked them, but he doesn't and he began talking a whole lot on Yonex rackets. He said that now Yonex doesn't make rackets in Japan anymore and they're made in Taiwan and Vietnam so it isn't as good. The tension isn't good and the rackets are stiff. They are expensive too. So he recommended ProAce rackets. He showed us a ABS POWER 1000 and we were like..mmhmm? So he let me try it out, give it a few swings. Well I can't tell if it's good if I don't play right. Anyway, my dad bought it for himself. The guy threw in a bag, grip spray, a grip and a T-shirt for free. At first the bag he showed us was.. HUGE.. fitted 10 rackets in it. We were like whoa..too many rackets. I guess we'll look out for my MP-99 and see which one best fits me. Probably, hopefully! going out to look for rackets tmr. I went to Art Friend to look at art supplies. Love that store. Felt kinda sick so my sis and I came down and we went for lunch. Couldn't eat anything so I had a cup of tea. Went to Popular bookstore after that. I slipped back down to Art Friend and got a few fine tips. Also got 2 books.

[Durian]

Yesterday, we went out to get my IC [Identification Card] done and change Joey's passport photo. We have to go collect those next week. Took the MRT to Bugis Junction after. I like that mall. You feel like you're outside but then you're inside... Almost every store we walked into, we'd spend something.. You could go broke in a single store. We watched Spiderman 2. It's so good. Loved it. The "DVD" is out at the night market.. haha..good enough I guess if you just want to watch it and not looking for quality.
[Thursday]
We met Kai Kong Kong and Kai Por Por for dinner across the street. I guess it was an ok dinner. My dad had a craving for durian so we dropped Joey back at our place and the 3 of us walked up to Giant. Walked through the supermarket and there's this guy selling during right.. and he's yelling out "$1! $1!"...so my dad's looking at whatever he's selling.. never knew durian had different kinds.. there's like the expensive ones and the..yeh ones for a dollar a box..from 20$ a box to a dollar..and my dad was trying to bargain and this guy's just blabbing on and on how good the durian is.. you know..they have to do business right..so my dad paid 11$ for i think 2 boxes.. I *think* they were different? My dad gave him 12$ of course wanting changing back.. he's like you said 11$ right...the guy yelled out ONE DOLLAR.. i was like whoa.. and he grabbed one of those cheap boxes and stuffed it in our bag.. pfft

[Whole New Far East]

On Monday, I went out with my mom and sis to Far East Plaza. And we wouldn't have gone if I hadn't said I wanted to go out. It was storming out. Hehehe... Thunder and lightning~!
Far East has changed. The basement has a lot more shops and some of the ones upstairs have changed. Haha Joey's beanie baby store turned into some figurine store. A LOT of stores selling ear rings and necklaces and rings.. stuff like that.. belts..bags.. I was contemplating.. to pierce my ear or not to. Like cartilage..Decided to go through with it. The girl said I have to leave the stud on for 2 weeks.. My mom said better leave it on for a month to be safe and make sure it's healed.. hmm I got a belt from Radio Active. I love that shop. We took a bus to Plaza Singapura. Went to the MRT station to top up our EZ link cards. We got more ear rings and had dinner there.
Yesterday, I took a bus out on my own to Suntec City. No one else wanted to go. Went back to Royal Sporting House and Why Pay More. Didn't have any new rackets!!! The armortecs were gone!! But I found a YONEX jersy.. I was like omg.. i thought they didn't carry these.. S$29.90..Walked around for probably 2-3hours and got bored

[P.S]

Left at around 1 to have lunch at P.S and meet my friends there. I ate chicken rice at the food court with my aunt....mmm so good..Then we walked out to the main area and watched the Endurance thing they were having... It's like this 72 hour challenge thing. These people have to stand/sit in a square in an air conditioned chamber/room at full blast in shorts and t-shirt. Hmm I don't know how cold it is in there but there were 10 winners. Not sure how many there were at the beginning tho. Had to send a few messages back and forth between my friends to finally meet up. There are so many things to look at.. Gift stores aren't like all the same. You could spend the whole day there. We walked out down the street to Heren. Passed by some stores along the road. Didn't think Heren had a lot of stores. It changed. Went to take neoprints...or sticker photos. Just as we went in. My cel phone rings and it's my mom asking me whether I wanted a lift home.. The original plan was for me to walk to take the bus back. Since it was almost time for me to go, I was like ok whatever I can leave now. So I said I would take the photos and then come down to meet them. But there's no road where they can stop, so they were going in rounds waiting for me. My dad must have called every 5 mins. I was like ARHHH I'm trying to take photos here!!! Anyway, I rushed down. Had to be home by 7 coz we were going to Island Country Club with my uncle and family & and my grandmother. Found out that their "pet" chameleon drowned.. poor little thing

This was on my cousins site so I tried it out

[internet!]

ha! Using my grandmother's computer right now. I managed to get on msn too. Unfortunately it's like 7am there and no one's on. Well Brandon is. I went out for dinner at American Club just now. Buffet dinner. mmmmm~ We arrived in Singapore this morning at around 5-6am. Fell right into bed and slept til around 10. I jumped out of bed and looked at the clock. Rushed out and asked my mom if I could walk over to MGS [My old school] to see if I can meet up with any of my friends. Yolanda told me that her recess was at 10:35am.. so I tried meeting her there and see if I can see anyone else. Got there early. My watch wasn't telling me the right time or something. I wasn't sure how to pass the security guard. Now that the primary school section is under renovation, the security isn't so strict anymore. I was afraid I'd get stopped and kicked out or something. But when I went to the booth, he smiled at me and waved his arm and let me in! I was like HA! There was a class just under the porch. I walked by them without looking at the teacher. There were people in the cafeteria. So I walked around more and there were teachers just above the stairs so I creeped down the ramp. I didn't know where to go. Everything was just familliar yet not at the same time. I wasn't in uniform so I wouldn't blend in with everyone. Thankfully, I bumped into Lavinia. She was like AHHHHHH.. lol brought me upstairs. She said I should be able to be in school. I still wasn't sure. Still paranoid.. afraid some teacher's gonna yell at me. She asked a few people whether they remembered me. Some of which I couldn't remember but they remembered me. Couldn't find Yolanda.. or Shujun... or Yun Zhen... Or very familliar faces. Lav had to go to class so I was left to wander. I gave up. Too many people. Next time I'll tell people where to meet me. hehe. I text messaged Shu, Brena and Jessica. Spoke to Jess on the phone. She said she was free today but I had a dinner. If everyone's free, we may meet up on Sunday. Ok my time's done. Must go...

[Leaving for Singapore]

-7:14pm-

Leaving for Singapore this evening. I tihnk our coach leaves at 10pm. Today we did pretty much nothing exciting. Went out for Bak Kut Teh [Did I spell that right?] breakfast.. mm mm good...I came home and used the cpu. My last chance to catch my friends at the right time. Wasn't the best convos tho. My sister was bugging me to use the computer. First she says she needs to check her email and that my mom told her to. So ok I let her. Then she bugs me to play a game. I'm like later and she's like when's later. I tell her "Not now" and she's like ".....is it later now?" darhhhhhh~~ Finally got peace and quiet. Later on, I watched Scary Movie 1, 2 and 3, one after another. My aunt, mom and sis went out to fetch Tristan from school and pick something else up. The first and second movie were funny. The third was just... bad... The ending was kinda messed up. I watched the extended and deleted scenes after and the alternate ending was.. hmm I'd say better.

...And this is our "fantabulous" story that we made up...

Of Presidents, Crocodiles & Farts

A “one-word story” by Joey, Jamie, Selina, Jackie, Shirley, Colin,Jonathan and Tristan. 29 June 2004

What was the thing you saw that looked like a toilet? It seemed like yucky & yellow-y slimy Tristan who Colin ate is so surreal. Jamie didn’t brush her eyebrows and wash her armpits with shampoo. Colin smelt like a bottle of toilet gunk. They were smelling each others’ fart which were obscenely explosive.

Regardless of whether it appeared normal or safe, it still reeked badly. Unfortunately, Tristan stepped on their toes which resulted in frogs gathering in the toilet. The crocodiles skipped dinner with the president who usually swallows toilet paper.

Hamburgers, like onions smell like potpourri bought from T&T. After all, presidents prefer taking their showers in shallow and crocodile-built sewers. They were always questioning Tristan’s logic for potatoes and bad (uh-oh) sense of fashion.

Tristan always dreams of farting presidents when they wear boxers and suck like Jamie’s vacuum cleaner, choking on some hamburgers. Finally, when Colin exploded like smelly Spongebob’s snail, Tristan jumped for cover under the crocodile’s armpit with too little air which Colin expelled from Jamie.

Fin.

[Trip to Penang]

Phew~! It's 6pm. Got back from Penang at around 1-ish. Wow I feel like this holiday has come a long way. It's only been about 2 weeks! Well I shall go "way" back to Friday. [haha and I shall try to make this in paragraph form *glares at Colin and Tristan and prob everyone who has trouble reading my extremely long posts* How about a paragraph for each day]

Day 1//Friday//2nd July 04
We had to leave at around 11am on Friday for our long drive. Waited for my cousin to come by to pick us up. Had 2 cars driving down. Tris, Shirley, Joey and I were in Colin's car and everyone else were in the other. We had to go through a phew toll booths. I can't believe I didn't sleep during that drive. Anyway, we were there earlier than my aunt so we waited for a bit then parked and checked in. My cousin's room wasn't ready just yet so they came over to ours, which was a connecting room. Decided to go down for lunch...Late lunch.. I don't think we've been to that hotel in a long time [Park Royal?]. I think the last time I was in Penang was when I was 2 years old. Only remember very little of that. KoKo the Clown and his orange hair.. eeyeash~ *shudders*. k so we weren't quite sure of where to go. Asked around for directions and we ended up at this restaurant, Cool Banana. I was like GASP when I the prices. I guess if you convert it to Canadian dollars or American dollars it's not so bad. But 7RM for a coke. holy crap.. Our whole vacation was a LOT. We actually caught up with Aunty Kay who we were supposed to be meeting there but couldn't get ahold of. They were, of course at the pool [my cousins, Ally and Sean]. After lunch, we headed back upstairs to get changed. Colin's room still wasn't ready. So Joey and I got Tristan and went down to the pool. COOL down! The water wasn't cold. It was luke warm. I could just jump in. Ally and Sean came by and we swam for a bit. Then Colin and Shirley came so we went to the beach. There was a guy riding a horse along the beach!! AHHHHH I was like OMG!! I got a ride. =) Of course we had to pay for it. My aunt paid I think 30RM for 2 horse rides. Along the beach, back and forth. There was a white one [Snow White] and a brown one [Not sure of the name. Another brown one was DJ] I think those horses are retired race horses. They listen to sound. But when you kick they don't really listen. They listen to the guys. It's so amazing. How horse and man and communicate so well. The guy calls the horse over and the horse walks over to him. But does it listen to me? nope...It's more for little kids getting horse rides. I'm not a professional rider so I can't control the horse so well. We had dinner at the Tamarins coffee shop. Had a late night. I think we went to the night market outside the hotel that night. Not sure which nights we went. There are so many things to see. Cheap stuff.. muahahaha. I got an Okley backpack [offered price:22RM bargained price:18RM], a nike cap [10RM], a ring [offered price:i think 21RM bargained price: 15RM]. I got pretty good bargained prices. hehehe. Got a whole lot of DVDs and CDs. Retired back to the hotel after a long night of walking. We didn't even walk to the end.

Day 2//Saturday//3rd July 04
My dad woke me up at 8 in the morning to go down for breakfast. I was like wha? breakfast? But it's too early. -__-ZzzZzz...So I had to wash up and meet my grandmother and aunts downstairs. My dad had to pay 23RM for each of us [Me, Joey, Tristan] coz our rooms only came with a certain number of breakfasts already included in the package. After breakfast we headed down to the beach with Aunty Kay, Sean and Ally. Got tossed around in the waves. lol Tristan just got thrown around. I was picking up shells. Or rather, trying to. I pick something up and the wave pushes be forward and I lose it. lol Tristan was just under the waves. You could stand there and think that no one's in the water and then all of a sudden you see his head pop up from underwater. He didn't even have time to get up before the next wave slammed him down. [Ok my internet keeps getting cut off. This is so annoying saving this post over and over but then I don't want to lose everything]. ANYWAY...I went parasailing/paragliding. funfunfun. Cept the life jacket kinda choked me. After that, I went jet skiing with my cousin. But then the guy had to come along too. Sigh.. unexperienced teens driving a jet ski? hehe. That was a fun day. At 5, there was a snake show next to the pool. So we went to watch that. There was a python [hehe pet snake. The guy was like "it's harmless"], 2 Mangrove Tiger Snakes, a cobra, and a baby King Cobra. The snake guy put the 2 tiger snakes in his mouth, he kissed the king cobra. Also said that 2 people died doing that act. That night, we ordered room service then my parents went out to Gurney Drive for dinner while the kids were sent to KoKo Klub. Tristan and I were in my room watching Wimbledon. lol of all things to watch, we were watching tennis. That was actually quite interesting. We went down at around 9:30pm to go check up on Joey, Ally and Sean. About half an hour later, Joey called to say that they were about to close so we had to go BACK downstairs to fetch them.

Day 3//Sunday//4th July 04
Went to a different restaurant to eat breakfast, Tiffins, which was up one level. Air conditioned...mmmm...and very quiet. Headed to the beach again. More seashells and more sandcastles. Well, they were holes, which Aunty Kay dug. We built walls around them but then the tide comes in and washes it all away. We tunnelled our holes together. Hmm...went back to the pool to swim and went to the kids pool to use the slide. lol that thing makes you go really fast. At lunch, we ordered fries, wedges, and pizza from Cool Bananas and the waiter brought it out to the poolside. After that, there was a grasshopper making demonstration. The man who was supposed to be there didn't come. So the lifeguards taught us instead. We made grasshoppers out of coconut leaves. Pretty cool... Got kinda confused tho. He went a bit too fast and he had to go through a lot of people. I now have a green grasshopper that's drying up. That day, Colin, Tris, Shirley, Twa Kor and Ah Mah left to go back to Ipoh. We walked out for dinner. Walked down the street to some restaurant. Really hot outside. Phew~...Sean, Joey, my aunt and my dad were stuck on the GBA cartridges again. I think Sean wanted to exchange the one he got before. My mom and I went back to the room. And that's another day done.

Day 4//Monday//5th July 04
Went out to the beach and the pool for the last time. I got my last horse ride. My mom paid 40RM this time. Those indian guys have their way of persuading people. heh... May have paid more but we got a longer ride. All the way to the end of the beach to some river and my guy got Snow White to trot but then he had to keep calling her back. He's like RUN! GO FASTER! I look back and give him a weird look. There are all these tourists infront of me and you want me to run? It's so hard getting the horse to go my way and he wants me to run through these people??? And when I rode before I held the back of the saddle. They have different saddles and they trained the horse a different way. heh the guy gives me a stick before we ride and... wait actually it's more of a twig.. and the horse is afraid of the little thing..But when I "whip" it on the back it turns around. The guy's like don't hit the back.. hit the front... =S Floated in the waves with Sean, Ally and Joey. My mom and aunt were gonna go out to Gurney Plaza later that day so I followed them. The kids where left with my dad.. lol.. He left them at KoKo Klub for lunch and he had his in peace. We took a cab to the mall at 12 and had to catch a bus back at 3pm. When we got in, we were like... ok.. where do we start. Looked at the map and then walked around. Went to Why Pay More. I browsed through the badminton rackets. Not a very big selection. But they had strings. First time I've seen strings..lol.. I got a pair of Yonex Badminton Shoes. My preeeccccciiioousss.. They're orange, grey and silver-ish. So perfect... Still need to look for rackets. Haven't found a very wide selection yet. I got more rings. =) Also got a few necklaces. Just simple beads strung in an elastic. I think I'm gonna do something to them. Shorten them. Had to rush out to wait for the bus, which turned out to be a van that shuttles to and from the hotel. That night we went out to have italian food[Mario's] with some relatives I don't think I've met in a long time or maybe ever. I was in Penang when I was 2. So prob saw them then. We had to hire a cab to drive us there and the directions given were to the old location. Later on we found out that they had moved like 2 years ago. Thankfully they only moved up the road a few blocks. I had Lasagne. The most salty lasagne ever. I was gulping water down. We walked back to the hotel coz I still wanted to get some last minute stuff at the night market, khaki 3 quarter pants.=)...Ally was jumping around me again. She was really hyper last night. She grabbed on to my hand and lol kept calling me Jie Jie. I was like Mei Mei... haha. lol she was going "Jie Jie..Jie Jie.. Che Che..Cheh Cheh...*looks up at me* what's the word again?"] so cute... Sean was stuck on cartridges again. Aunty Kay brought them back to the hotel room coz Sean and Ally were getting restless. My dad was looking through more DVDs and I picked up 3 more CDs. I went on to look at my pants while Joey and my dad looked at MORE GBA cartridges. I got 2 pairs of Ecko 3 quarter pants at 17.50RM each. That's pretty reasonable right? Everything I got from M'sia was actually pretty cheap if you convert it to CAD. My pair of badminton shoes were 119RM and I got a 10% discount coz it was a closing sale. So it went down and then plus tax 107RM and we converted it to CAD it was around 30 CAD. Most of the things at the night market, like my cap, were 10RM which is only about a few Canadian dollars.
Day 5//Tuesday//6th July 04
This morning, I had to get up at 7am to have breakfast. Tooooo early. My grandmother and aunt left early this morning. So we had to say goodbye and stuff. Won't be seeing Sean and Ally in a while. Ally gave me a butterfly necklace... awww so schweet.. I was like awwwwwwww *tear* wow.. this is a long post.. I've been posting for so long. My mom, aunt and grandmother have been sitting in this very same room talking for that long too. I guess I shall go. Still have to reply my emails.

Oh yeh. Jonathan posted our one word story that we [Cousins and relatives] made up... It's kinda stupid.. but then funny> http://www.jonathanpoh.com/
It's called Of Presidents, Crocodiles and Farts. yes...we're very civilized people! That was a great night...haha
