I had a pro D yesterday. Soo... the plan was to have a get together [as if we don't ever hang out in school or something] at TGIFridays in Metrotown. What better restaurant to go to on a Friday eh? I got up earlier that morning. I actually managed to get up early! Wow!!! Yea I got up around 8 to go to Erma with my mom and help her take yearbook pictures. She had my dad's camera so I took hers and we basically walked around Erma snapping photos of all the kids during their Terry Fox Run. I met Mrs Rovtar and her new kindies. All the kids from last year were shouting out my name and everything. So cute~ Ye Jin ran up to me and told me she grew taller. =) She's so adorable. Aw I miss them. Little Alex is back in school now. For the past.. year? or two, he's been fighting cancer. Poor kid. Well he posed for the camera and seems to be back to normal now. Running for cancer. =P
We uploaded the pictures we had right when we got home and then my mom drove me out to Krissy's. Beano was supposed to meet me at Fraser Wods at 11. But it was already 11:30 when I got there. Oops...Just as I was on my way out to the field, he called and said he got lonely so he walked all the way to Nester's. Awww... I felt so bad. So.. I walked down to Nester's to meet him. That was one heck of a long walk. He said he was in the PC place so I went in there... and well.. no one was in there. The korean lady gave me a strange stare.. so.. I walked out and my phone rang again. I figure Beano was at the pay phones so I walked up there and he goes "Where are you!!! Why do you take so long to pick up your phone!!!". Lol.. I was standing 3 feet away from him and said I could see him. He looked up at me and replied on the line. Hilarious. When he answered he looked like he didn't know I was there and made all these hand gestures.
Waited for Krissy to come by and then we were off to Surrey Central where we met the rest of the crew. Metro was alright... We had lunch at TGIFridays. Meh.. the food was alright. It's kinda like Red Robins. After that we went to the arcade. Watched the guys play Initial D? Racing games. *eye roll* Julian loves that game. Then we took some sticker photos. That place was sooo noisy... sooo hot and stuffy. Ugh. David and Brian challenged each other to a DDR match. So funny. I wonder if I can upload videos from my phone. I have yet to figure that one out. It was hilarious. Later there were these two crazy white guys. Them...punk...goth kinda people. They were crazy!!! It was amazing watching them dance. That's pretty much all we did. Sylvia and David went to go pick up food and the rest of us trained and bussed back to Sylvia's. They rented Exorcist. Psh I thought it was gonna be super scary. It was so stupid. Just like scary movie. Mr Nguyen stopped by for a little bit. He brought us pop and cheezies. Haha awww. David came back later on with pizza. Ah hah!! Kiki got a haircut and she's so little now!! Still hyper though. She smells so good. I asked Sylvia what shampoo she uses and guess what! She uses the same shampoo as me! Dove! Haha.
Later on, we watched Anchorman. That movie's hilarious. I guess you gotta watch it with friends. Coz when I saw it alone I got bored. Well... David gave us a ride home, poor guy.. had to make so many trips [Thanks David! We owe you dinner!!!!!!]. Lily, Diane and I went back to Krissy's and spent the night there. Didn't really do much. Lily obviously fell asleep first. Followed by Krissy and I... Diane was the only one awake but she slept pretty early too. We're going to dinner with Uncle Siong Heng soon. @_@ I'm about to drop dead.
I "always" look forward to lotsa worksheets in comparative civics! But I also look forward to watching lotsa videos and movies. Whenever I think double block, I think ugh lotsa worksheets. But nope, today we watched Hero [Jet Li]. Supposed to be looking at great civilizations and what made them so great. And we're on China.. etc etc.. in our textbook. So what better movie to watch than a chinese-lotsa sword fighting-people flying-jumping on water-type of movie. And yea, all of that happened.
We got out early for the Terry Fox Run. I had my crazy little name tag and camera ready lol. Then I bumped into Sam on the way out and asked him if he wanted to be my reporter. We drove alone side everyone at the run and just went down the stretch really slowly [yes we were quite safe]. We didn't get any...interviews. But.. mm.. I figure, this year FHN's gonna turn into...more like a "Current Events", "What you missed out", "Behind the scenes" sorta thing. I really don't want to have to go through the whole process of having people sign up and then fool around and not be dedicated to it. I mean, I go in at lunch to pick up the camera and Nguyen goes "Oh Ariel's coming to film." I didn't see Ariel out there filming...
So yea... after the run. Um "run", I went to play some badminton. Nick wanted to play us [Me and Sylv] and he kept saying that we sucked.. yatta yatta. Sylvia was cool for a while. Then she got agitated. Lmao.. then.. I told her to go all out and smash at him. Then I got scared.. so I left for a while and watched from afar. She smashes it every chance she gets and it hits him every single time. Ah~ After that we played a game against Waina and Corey. They've been training for the Clear One tournament next week. Pretty pretty good. Well.. Sylvia and I lost lol. It was.. 15-.... Ok the first game I don't remember. The second game I believe was.. 15-12...or 13.....12 Yea. First real game we've played since Washington. That's quite sad. Washington State Open was back in May.
We had an extremely rushed first block of cooking. Ms Oneil was saying that if we want to be ablet to make stuff outside of the curriculum we have to work at a fast and even pace. Well, it wasn't so even today though. We had to do 4 worksheets, ok well 3 but I didn't do one of them for homework the last time. So.. 3 worksheets while watching a demo, while filling in the blanks. After that we had to mark it and that went all through break. Beano and Julian came in to visit but were kicked out shortly after lol.
After school, we met in the cafeteria. Sylvia bought Jensen, Krissy and Mr Nguyen a coffee cake. Really nice. On top it said "Happy Birthday People" Lmao...that's one I've never seen before. Yea so we sang happy birthday, cut the cake. Then I headed out to the field to watch the soccer game. FH vs Princess Margaret. Pretty much their entire team were indians. I sat out there in the sun for a bit. Doug, Wesley, Evan, Danielle, Salina and Raman were there. Amy had field hockey fitness on the gravel field behind us. Badminton was going on in the gym. Lol it's like.. we were all there! Almost. Lily came out to take some pictures with me a little while after. I think I got some nice ones for the yearbook. I'm suprised they turned out. I was so far away. And for some reason, I could only get close up pictures of Simon and Justin.
After sitting there for about 45 minutes [or maybe it was longer?], Lily and I went back to play some badminton. It was crazy! I was so full of energy! It was like.. a spark. After that, it just kinda...died. Sylvia and I were on a roll. Then I forget what Diane or Sylvia did. But it sparked SOMETHING and Diane just couldn't stop laughing after. She started doing the hoe-down [?].. Then she fell to the ground... and did the rowing like in the pepsi commercial. After that we couldn't really play no more. Krissy and I went out to the field to see if the soccer game was over yet. Yea.... Beano came walking to me looking real sad. So you could prob guess, they lost. 0-1. Not as bad as previous game scores though. So that's good, their defense is getting better. I haven't seen the other games though =P. B and I played somemore badminton. When he actually hits the bird, the shots are super good. His smash goes super fast and makes that huge popping sound. Lol everything else...He does these crazy net shots too. They look weird sometimes. But they just crawl over the net, making it impossible for anyone to get. Hrm... so that was that. They had to close down half the gym a little earlier coz of Parent-teacher night. Mr Holland's gotta...make his little speech. Then at 6, volleyball people came in and kicked us out. So crazy. Simon and Sean both played soccer earlier, then they play volleyball after. Man, that's gotta be tiring.
Well, I've emptied out my camera...shoot...I deleted the soccer pictures. Darn it, I was gonna upload them onto the schools computer.

...You're the most beautiful rose in the garden. And I'm the gardener with the shot gun who shoots anyone who tries to steal you...
I think I mentioned the roses blooming. They kinda dried up when we went to Singapore. My mom revived them.
I decided, ok it's time to take out my bandannas. After going through every single colour, I finally picked out the spotted dalmation one that Yee Kor got me. =P Unfortunately we're not allowed to wear it all around =(. Stacy was wearing a very bright green one the other day and I fell in love with it. I'm still missing...hmm purple.. pink... lime green.. and...yes.. =P Time to go bandanna hunting!!!
I spent my morning talking to Cole and Sophia. Mr Nguyen came by to ask me if I can identify people in the photos he took of people volunteering at the Country Fair. Later on, Cole was flipping through my yearbook, reading out all the "interesting" facts at the bottom of the pages. He was non-stop talking for the entire block.
At lunch, I stopped by the band room [Jane's secret invitation]. David, Wanta, Krissy and Diane were already there putting up the "decor". Jane cut out in individual alphabets "Happy Birthday King J" and they stuck it up on the wall. Jim was in there fiddling around with his guitar. He played happy birthday for us. Lol. Ah so when Jane and Jensen came in, Jensen was given a.... candle.. But this candle was crazy! Music came out of it!! Lmao you see Jensen holding this litted candle in the dark and it's playing a song.
Jane wanted me to be there to film the next bit. She cut up the cake, "Jensen let's take a picture!!"...Ok ready 1...2.....3! *SPLAT* She flips the cake RIGHT in his face. Then Jensen chased her around the room. And yes there was a mess but they cleaned everything up so it was all good in the end. Lol. Ah... then Hogen wanted me to film him giving Jensen his present. He walks up to Jensen, asks him to help him find a missing part to his watch [I think he really did lose it though]. Jensen and him were looking around on the floor when Hogen moves up to him real quick. Lol Then.... Hogen corners him in the equipment room and eventually all the guys gang up on him and Hogen gives J a nice big kiss. =P Ah gotta love having your birthday at school.
...so then how do the french pronounce your name... Buhhhhhh-cough cough cough-andon...
We did our Comparative Civics unit test today. It was relatively easy...until the end where we were supposed to write paragraphs on 3 different things. Given a choice... Significance of Orientalism when dealing with.. research? How civilizations became so unequal? How homonids advanced into Neolithic.. Paleolitic etc etc.. Those are the only ones I remember. Haha coz those were the only ones I understood =P.
Played badminton at lunch. It wasn't much. Rallied around with Sylvia then Brandon joined us. For some reason, now that I'm sick, my brain seems to be.. more ... alert. Is that normal? My senses seemed to have... heightened? For some odd reason. I'm a lot more attentive but at the same time... I have my very very stoned moments. I laugh at anything and especially when Diane mimics Sophia. Ah hilarious. O yea, Cindy [this new girl I met in my study, she has every single artist on her iPod and is in my english class next semester!! =)] and I are counting the times Sophia blurts out random comments. Hilarious. So far we've counted probably over 20. Anyhoo.. during yearbook, Diane, Lily and I went around taking photos for the yearbook. Muahaha. I think we might do that again tomorrow.. Hmm or.. nah.. I'll stay in class and actually set up a page. Mm.. crud..but I don't have enough pictures. Mm.. lunch time...
In foods, we made banana bread [Without the icky walnuts but unfortunately we had to add nutmeg. That was ick]. I'm still amazed at how we are able to cook, clean and all that in one block. 75 minutes. That's all you really need. Well I pinched at my half of the cake and as I walked through the halls, everyone else started pinching from it. By the time I got to the cafeteria, my cake disappeared. Really... I don't know what happened to it.
Afterschool there was practice. Nothing special...As usual, Sylvia et moi vs Diane et Lily. Jane just loves doing the weirdest things duing our practice. The last time it was the papers. This time, she turned the bench into a sit down desk. Ah she's so funny. Yes that's her, in the midst of all our badminton junk. Well, tomorrow's Jensen's birthday. Hooo... birthday beats!!
So yesterday I went to Guildford with Beano. We had to pick out presents for Jensen and Krissy. Urg, we walked.. and walked... and walked..and walked. And it took me foooorever to think of what to get. In the end... nothing all TOO special. But decent gifts. lol. =P...We stopped for lunch. Brandon's mom told him to eat something healthy. Lmao.. He had a burger, chips and a Dr Pepper. Then he told his mom he had curry.
"Ok no more! Video games brings out the worst in Jamie!"
We continued our long long walk. Ah there are so many things to buy. So many new styles and designs out. We hopped over to Randy River to look for Troy. He showed Brandon a couple shirts. 2 for 20.. That's.. not so bad? lol. Everything in there had a picture of a skull on it. The hoodies, the shirts, the jackets...After the mall, Beano came over and we hung out. Jo jo and him played the sax for a bit... the guitar... keyboard. Brandon was so amazed by the keyboard he wouldn't stop fiddling with it. After that we played some Mario Tennis. Urg I suck!! I kept missing all the serves!! Yea it was bad. Lol then Brandon kept bugging me about it!!!
It's Mr Nguyen's birthday today. Diane got Sylvia to pick us up a Starbucks card for him [cough cough, since I forgot yesterday]. I went out this morning and got him a box of timbits. Then I wrote Happy Birthday on a stickie and stuck it on top and placed it on his desk. I got out my comparative civics to make study notes and Mr Gordon comes by. He really isn't a very good listener. Oh but he's very good at telling people what to do. I think he has short term memory loss:
"Grade 12s need one of these sheets"
*He gives me one*
*Comes back 5 minutes later*
"You have this sheet?"
*Jme thinks...um... you JUST gave me one?*
Same thing happened when he handed out the vaccination cards. I go "I already got one.". O you already got one? What's your name? Jamie. Jamie? Ok.. here you go. *Hands me a card*....O..k.. then..
At lunch we visited Mr Nguyen to book our gym time. Since Krissy and Jensen are gonna have their party on Friday, we can't play badminton. It's a pro-d too! Hrrm... Sylvia gave Noogie his card and present. She got him a piggy bank that said "Face Lift Fun - Safety deposit for future sagging assets!" and the card said "Happy 100th Birthday". Ah I'm gonna miss him so much after we graduate. Good times good times. We've known him since grad 8! There was grade 8 badminton, grade 9 - 12 FHN, grade 11-12 badminton.
The sun decides to come out, vaccination cards are given out, people are apparently sick and throwing up yet still going to hockey games, I wake up with a sore throat. It must be the sick-people-season, Fall. Today.... I cleaned the bathroom... I... vacuumed the entire upper level...I...made pasta for lunch....I... talked to Beano on the phone. I'm so tired I could just....lol..um..sleep! We actually had more strawberries growing from the little plants by the window sill. My mom told me to eat them with ice cream. SO.. I did. The pink roses Beano got me are budding and I think we'll see 2 flowers by tomorrow. =)
...can you whisper in my ear. let me know, it's alright...
This morning Sophia was complaining, she rambled: "God I'm so fat. I need to lose weight. I want hashbrowns. But the lady's not done. I'm fat. Ugh I want hashbrowns. Hey how much is it? Can you ask for me Jamie? God I'm fat." Ah she's so funny. I got my yearbook supplement from Mr Nguyen and was flipping through it. Beano came by and pulled it away from me and just.... flung it on the ground! So mean!! Sophia was about to pick it up. Haha I told her not to. Then looked at Brandon: "Brandon! Go pick it up!! Now!!" >=[! Lol.. I ended up grumbling my way to the other side of the table to pick it up. So... I was flipping through it again. He went to play soccer with Won then came back and took it from me again!! Then he held it over the garbage can!! Hogen appeared outta no where and he showed us what he did to Rachel's locker. Haha so cute. He drew and cut out 37 pigs and stuck it to her locker and put a basket of hearts and heart shaped.. sandwiches in there.
We got our immunization cards. Ahh~! Lol Menningococcal C? Something like that. I was trying to pronounce it and Brandon kept laughing at me. He told me it's Men-ning-go-cal. But I told him there's an extra co in it! "Menningococacocaccol...."
At lunch the guys played soccer since today's...Fifa Friday. I missed yesterday. Oscar Thursday? Nothing happened. No one dressed up cept for Julie. She wore black dress pants, collared shirt, black jacket, crazy black hat. Very cool. Yea so I filmed soccer today. We have 3 batteries for the camera and Mr Nguyen didn't charge any of them! And he said no one comes in to film! Ms Bicknel and I had to pull out the batteries and try them one by one. She's so cool. I love her.
We uploaded pictures from the game in the school computers. Mr P's planning on getting rid of so many pages in the book, getting rid of the print on the end covers and making the pages thicker and better quality. But that just means..less space for pictures. Even though we'll have less pages to work on, less pictures to take. He seems to know what he's doing though.
Afterschool we had practice. I thought we had 23 people signed up for the team. We only had half a gym and it wasn't even that full. Jeez these people. Well... I rallied with Sylvia, Julian and Adam for a bit. Then Sylvia and I decided we needed sugar. So we ran over to Timmy's and got iced capps and came back and let all our energy out. WELL.. I did..[Sylvia was talking most of the time!!].
Ah, I brought my camera out today and started taking lotsa pictures. The yearbook cameras are brand new so they haven't gotten larger memory cards yet. Each camera can only hold about 6 pictures. lol. I used mine. But now I gotta bring the cable to load it up on the school's computers.
We did... pretty much nothing in yearbook. Haha Diane played around with my camera and we did some stuff on In..design? I think that's what it's called. In Design. Just layout stuff. I like Mr Pahal. He's cool. And he knows his stuff so I think our yearbook's gonna look pretty good this year. He's gonna change the layouts up. It's been the same every year. So yes...
There was badminton practice after school. We were chilling in the cafeteria and Mr Nguyen came by to catch up on things haha. We discussed birthday plans. He said we should bring a cake on Thursday and we'll celebrate his, Jensen's and Krissy's birthdays together. That'd be cool. Hmm... Practice was cool. Sylv and I played Diane and Corey... then Diane and Wanta... It was fun. I played mix with Clarence against Waina and Christine.. Christen..Eee she's crazy. She's in grade 6 and she's better than... Hmmm most of our team!
Lmao, Jane dropped her homework into the toilet. XDDD Ah man.. she's so funny. So she laid all her sheets out in the gym around her to dry. By the time practice ended it was dark and rainy out so Peter offered me a ride home. He drove Ke-li too XD. We stopped by Timmy's coz Peter wanted to pick up some soup. On the way out of the car, I didn't know Ke-li was gonna stay. I kinda.. pushed the door shut on him. When we came back out, his binder was in the back seat and I was gonna pass it to him. I kinda... threw it at him...by accident!!! Sorry Ke-li!!!!! Lol...Hmm

...Attention students and staff, in about 5 minutes we are going to have our first fire drill of the year. "O em jee! at exactly 12:15 there is going to be a fire!"...
Me: "Joey's doing the same thing as I am!!"
Mom: "What is that?"
Joey: "The Homo peoples of the past!"
Me: "Joey.. homo means gay.."
Joey: "Then we were ALL gay in the past!!"
Today was actually Stanley Cup Tuesday. They're getting pretty horrible with the alliteration. In the past it'd be stuff like... Movie Monday.. Tropical Tuesday.. Western Wednesday [mind you that one's still the same]. I unfortunately did not get any pictures of people in their hockey jerseys. =( Maybe tmr I'll get some cowboys. Gasp.. cowboy hat time!!
Why is intro foods awesome with Ms Oneil? WELL.. you not only get to learn all the basics and principals of cooking and baking, you also get to talk about world history and get to know different cultural backgrounds. That's what we talked about all class. We talked about the Germans, Hitler, the Jews..etc...etc. Very.. odd.
Joey's playing the saxaphone in grade 7 band now. She originally was going to play the guitar but then she'd have to get a bass. Sooo.. the sax it is.
Today was MTV Monday. Every year, our school activities and spirit gets worse. There's no more spirit wear in which the entire school can actually participate. We used to have to wear certain colours on certain days. Now.. the only day I hear of is.. PJ day, after every dance. And dances don't happen very often. Today, they had a tv set up in the middle of the cafeteria with 2 DDR pads attached to it. I had to film people attempting to coordinate their eye....foot... yes. It was so boring. We need some crazy asian who spends his time in arcades a lot with crazy feet. Well there was one grade 8 kid who was quite amusing to watch. He went on with his shoes and he was told part way to remove em. He did that... while dancing. XD Beano came to look for me and he got bored watching and the battery in my camera died on me. So I just returned it and we went up to look for Deano and the rest. We got kicked out of Ahn's room sooo.. we went to hang out with Tyler, Troy, Doug, Dustin, Amy.. etc etc...
Another "tutorial" in yearbook. Some of us had to go listen to her talk about camera parts and "how to take a photo"....."oooOooo" .. Mm well we were supposed to learn how to use photoshop today. But Ms Nickel didn't exactly teach anything. We had to do self portraits and edit it to make it look like Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe portraits. I had to go on good tutorials [hehe Hogie gave me that site ages ago and I still go back to it now =P] to look it up. Well there weren't enough cameras to begin with.. so I used an old photo I dug managed to find on photobucket. But after much fiddling... I gave up. It was the most boring class ever. The other portion of the class were doing magazine layouts. I wanted to do that! Hmmph. According to Diane it wasn't very much fun. But it looked like it! We're getting a new yearbook teacher. =( Aw I like Ms Puri! She's so funny. One time in class, she was talking to the guys and the room phone rang. She thought it was someone's cellphone coz she couldn't hear it clearly over everyone's talking. She turns around and yells "No cellphones please!" and goes back to talking to the guys.
I got this toque in Singapore. Haha.. My mom thought it looked cool. It's got little flaps on the side =P. Tony told me it looks like I'm wearing a hoodie. I didn't realize until he said so. Mrrm...Well.. after school I walked home and found out partway that there was practice. I walked back at 4:30. Played me some badminton..Beano just finished soccer tryouts so he was waiting. We rallied for a bit and then I played mix with Jensen, Corey and Waina. Muaha... I have my week all planned. Badminton afterschool today, badminton at lunch tmr, picture taking and filming on Wednesday followed by practice after school, badminton at lunch on Thursday, picture taking and filming on Friday followed by practice after school. Hehehe. It's Krissy and Jensen's birthday's next week. Time to go sh-sh-sh-shopping.
Sylvia went back to Taiwan earlier this week so she left Kiki with us again. I think Kik very much enjoyed her second stay here. She's discovered Pepper's toy box and conveniently takes whatever she likes out of there. Her favourite toy this time is the Rope Monkey. She takes it everywhere with her and when she sleeps, she places the monkey in the bed and sits on top of it so no one can take it away from her. Ah Kiki's one of a kind.
So here's what's been going on. I don't take as many pictures with my regular camera now so they just slowly accumulate and by the end of the week I have a decent amount of pictures. I'm thinking this coming week I'll have more pictures. Welcome Back Week. "yay"
...Beano being forced to do Geography homework; Diane, Sylvia and Jane;my dad setting up our new TV; and Pepper stretching out on the deck soaking up the last few rays of the summer...
Joey: "Jie Jie, what's a Ding Dong?"
Me: "............................you don't wanna know."
Joey: "Well, Mrs Mcfarland asked me to bring her one today. And I didn't know what she was talking about. And then she gasped and went Joey doesn't know what a Ding Dong is! And she told Mr Hilder! And he didn't know either."
*My mom bursts out laughing*
Joey: "... It's... It's like a wagon wheel!!"
Me: "............................o.. no it looks nothing like a wagonwheel trust me"
Joey: "But Mrs Mcfarland said..."
Me: "No... here go on Urban Dictionary and search Ding Dong"
*My mom continues to laugh*
I actually did a search "Ding Dongs + Twinkies" and I got it on Wikipedia. Ah hilarious. She also asked me a series of questions from her social studies homework. I'm suprised I got a lot of them. I actually learned something in all my years in Social Studies! Huzzah! Haha.
Hmm so what else happened today. Comparative Civics happened. We're studying how Man evolved. Pretty cool. Going waaaaay back. Before barbarians. =P.
At lunch, Corey came by as usual and he was in our lil girl circle again. Hehe. We let him read a little snippet of our book. He was so funny. He sat there, holding this tiny, fobby book with cow prints all over it and cute little messages reading a page I'd written to Diane about my day at The Fair. He learned new words! Haha...like "Buncha", "Owie", and "Ugh". He'd be like "There were a buncha.....bunch-a...buncha! Hey! That's a word!" Ah boy.
We've gotten our ritual started again. Diane came over after school! Friday afternoons! We used to hang out every week in the past. Then all of a sudden it stopped. I can't remember why. Well Peter walked home with us so I invited him over since he was gonna walk us all the way back to my place and walk all the way back out to his place. I got Diane and I these HUGE cans of iced tea. They're like.. 2wice the size of regular cans, 695ml or something. And they're only 99 cents. I keep seeing people drinking them and I've finally discovered what it is for myself. Meh, tastes like the iced tea they have in Singapore. Real tea with lemon, unlike the artifical stuff here.

...I'd like to dedicate this blog entry to Brian a.k.a Browny...
Picture day! I had to walk to school today since my dad got a new job. He works at some place downtown.. tug boats? Brandon drove right by me on my way out to the main road. He met me outside and we went to get our photo cards. They called grade 12s down first. Mwaha... we're special this year.
Played badminton at lunch and...headed off to cooking. =) We made brownies!!! Mmm sooo good. They're so full of chocolatey goodness. We topped it up with marshmellows and chocolate sauce. Mmmm.. Beano appeared in the foods room like.. just before school was out. Him and Diane came back later on for some. Then ahem.. Diane just left me.. coz she came "just for the brownies". Haha.
So we're up at the "bridge to nowhere" [I think that's what I'm gonna call it from now on. Brandon said it leads from school to school therefore it leads to nowhere.] having our lunch when all them Taiwanese people gather around and all of them are wearing red! Lily said it's coz they wanna overthrow the Taiwanese government. Haha well then.. that's interesting. We were talking to Corey for a bit. His mom was visiting some teachers I think so she passed us by. Wanta kept pestering him about going to the prom. When his mom came back, she went to ask her. Lmao..
Wanta: "Mrs Wiiiiiiillisss!!! Don't you think Corey should go to the prom!!!!?"
Donna: "YES! Definately! That's a good idea!!!!"
Wanta: "See Corey!!! In a tux!!"
Donna: "Yea he would look good in a tux!! I remember one time, we were at a wedding and Corey had to wear a suit. O he look...."
[Yea she brought out the "I remember when..."]
Corey: "Mom time to go. You're embarrasing me. Bye!!"
Me: "We should rent a limo and all of us can split the cost!"
Donna: "Just tell me how much!!"
Haha awww.. so cute. It was so funny. Wanta was talking the entire time. She practically chased Corey out of the school.
I thought yearbook was gonna suck coz we had to follow other people's ideas. The voting system and majority gets to decide everything. Well... We had a couple ideas put up for our theme this year. The guys wanted a "Code Red" theme with a bear on the front since our school has had 2 bear encounters in the past 2 years. The grade 11s wanted an abstract theme, very simplistic, artistic. I wanted a diary/scrapbook sort of layout. There was a little debate as to how the cover would look this year. It was.. Classical, plain black/navy cover with silver words and our crest engraved on the front or an artsy, picture of a bottle of bubble liquid in the front kind of design. We ended up with the classical. It should look pretty nice if they use the right material. So eventually we merged our ideas and agreed upon a classical cover with a not so classical theme on the inside. It's gonna be "A Closer Look... @ Fraser Heights Secondary". Lotsa magnifying glasses...microscopes...and view finders" Hopefully this year we'll be able to improve on all aspects of the yearbook. Every single one we've gotten in the past 4 years of highschool have been sooo ugly. Well I did some roughed out sketches of what each section should look like and the guys liked it so now they've got me doing each individual page in good copy. Mwaha! >8) Lily did up one page on Adobe Illustrator right after I drew it. She's crazy! It looked exactly like my drawing!
We had our grade 12 assemblies this morning in block B. Ah hilarious. Mr Holland's all cheerful and it's just like every other principal... always the same old same old. At the end of it all he goes "Well as grade 12s I expect you to be good roll models for our new comers, the grade 8s. Help them out. O and be careful when you drive, grade 8s are horrible at crossing the streets. And lastly, we'd like to thank you in advance. Everyone gets a slice of pizza and a can of pop on their way out in the cafeteria." I'm already liking this guy. =P
Badminton at lunch wasn't bad. I rallied with Sylvia then played mix with Jensen. Sorta the same dealy after school. We have 25 people signed up apparently. Ouch. Noog said that if it's possible, we'll get 2 teams. A and B. So then there'd be no cuts. But we'd have to go through the process of try outs to figure out the 2 teams. We picked out our events today. Still waiting for SOMEBODY to talk to his athletic director.. Or did you already and he said no? Anyhoo, Noog will take care of that. Hrmm...
It's been...5 years!
I think things are beginning to speed up now. Last week was horrible. As was the weekend. We had our first Senior Badminton meeting in the library today. It looks like we might have 2 teams. A total of 21 people signed up. Hoo...We have our first play day tomorrow after school. =) As for FHN, I took the camera out once and I figure next week we'll have welcome back week to film.
I know Brian's been waiting a long time for this. Lol.. Fireworks Pictures!
This was lunch time in the cafeteria. Julian was showing us how flexible his fingers are. Lol How pleasant eh?
Today, we went to Superstore to fix up my bank card, deposit $$$ into my account. There was some special offer in the flier.. flyer.. Free chicken fingers with a minimum purchase of 125$ I think. SOO my parents were busy filling up the cart. Then we exceeded the amount by lots so we split up our purchases. We got 2 free boxes of chicken fingers.. That means we must have spent over 250$ on groceries. Mmm food. On the way out I picked up a People magazine. Aww it's got Stevey on the front. =( When I first heard about it I wasn't sure if it was true. But now it's all over the news, all over the magazines.
Uncle John's coming over for dinner tonight. My dad used to go wind surfing with him. Ah the good old days. We used to go to the beach every weekend.
I once asked the question. If Russia and Australia are on the East [Asia], aren't Russians therefore considered Orients/Asians? I never got my answer. Well, I found out today. And yes, they are. lol. Most of the time when people talk about Asians or well Orientals, they're thinking Chinese, Japanese, Korean...You get what I'm saying. So that makes me think, there are many things I've been told all my life, that aren't.....what's the word.. true? Like, just coz things have been passed down generation after generation doesn't necessarily make it true, or good for you.
Well, now that I'm out of math, I have a spare in the morning so I'll be going in to look for Mrs Mctavish so maybe she could give me assignments for my portfolio. Then I have comparative civics which ain't TOO bad. We had to discuss the Orientalism thing in partners today and it was quite difficult. We can't really start much in Yearbook just yet since the computers are still down and Ms Puri has no idea what she's doing with her business classes. Last class of the day, intro foods. Ms Oneil has so much enthusiasm it's quite hard to hate being in that class.
Afterschool my dad came to pick me up and we headed for Playland to return my uniform and collect my pay cheque. I bumped into Denise there so we gave her a ride home. They only paid me for 15 hours. I musta done at least 20. So Denise and I figure that there's a cut off date and I'll be mailed the rest of my money in the next 2 weeks.
Muaha, I'm out of Math 12. Kinda weird. I went to see the counsellor this morning and she told me she'll definately be able to get me out of Math but I'd have to come back and see her afterschool. So I had to sit in that class and go through a whole lesson.
We got more reading to do in Comp Civics. Eeuuch, this time 28 pages. 28!! And we have some culture presentation things to do. The class is great. But why the presentations!!
Found out there was badminton at lunch and has been badminton all week. Gar! I wonder how our team's gonna work out this year. If we have try outs, a handful of people will probably be cut. If we don't, our gym space will be limited, so will our court time. Hum and we gotta get paperwork for Brian to come over to our team [Brian have you talked to your Athletic director yet?!?!!? We can't do anything until we have approval!!]. Hopefully training starts soon and we'll have a better chance at provincials this year.
Wow I really don't know how we're gonna do the yearbook. How do 15 students [at least] all come together to think up a theme and all agree on it. Our teacher's not really doing much either. She says that the computers aren't working yet and they don't have all the programs. She hasn't even started anything with the business classes yet. That's sucha weird class. We were basically flipping through yearbooks the entire class. Most of them are ugly, our's definately are.
I was gonna sit down on one of the comfy couches in the library to read my C.C booklet, but I ended up picking up a book on Buddhism. I read the first 2 chapters and I feel like a better person already! Haha =P But yes, it was quite interesting.
I really don't know why I picked Math 12. It's not required for entrance to EC. I don't think other Art Schools ask for it either. We went through review today and the first question Mr Ahn asked was "What is Math?". Silence. "So none of you know what math is and you've been learning it ever since you started school?". Silence. Well, I think I'm gonna switch out of that class and get into Accounting instead. Newer more useful stuff instead of more indepth and complicated concepts. Har har?
As I walked around the corner after class, Beano dropped the 2 toonies he "stole" from me yesterday when they fell out of my pocket. Lol, we were lying on the field and all my coins fell out. He conveniently put them in his pockets, "Mine now". Then left for home.
The hallways are.. well.. I think it's probably more crowded than last year but because there are so many more "little" people, it doesn't really seem like it. =P I think the people in our grade are pretty small as well. I remember stepping into FH when I was in grade 7 and it was like.. *looks up*... Whoa. We got our lockers. It's in a pretty good spot. There aren't any top ones above, just the countertop.
I had comparative civics in second block. Mahli gave us the intro speech as did every other teacher. He said that if we picked this course coz we thought Shilladay was gonna teach it then we should be prepared to brave a the course or switch out coz apparently him and Mrs Shilladay teach it differently. Well I've never had Mr Mahli before so I wouldn't know. It does seem like quite an interesting course though, even though I have no one to talk to. Ugh, wish I had the other block. =( We have...homework.. Gr.. An entire booklet on Eurocentric Historians. Gin reads the first paragraph and immediately tells me that she's gonna get so pissed off reading it. It's basically saying that white people are superior and Europe is the centre of civilization. I haven't read it through all at once yet. But if you count all the times I've been reading, I think it woud take up about an hour, just reading alone.
We visited Mr Nguyen at lunch and I had to drop off my Sports Day contract. It's been sitting in my room since the start of summer. =P Oops? Well I don't think I went back to school after that day. We don't get gym time yet =(. He said we have to wait til Friday and that's only for a meeting. Hmph. Hm what else. Oh yea, he's assigned me to do a video/slideshow of our grade 12 year. So I start now. Tee hee.. I can take out the camera anytime and I can just shoot and take pictures.
After lunch, Diane and I headed down to the info tech room for Yearbook. Turns out that there are 4 classes in one. 4!!!! Yearbook 11, 12, and 2 other business courses. The teacher teaching that course is new too. Ms Averil no longer works at FH. Aw she was so nice. The entire class we just "got to know each other". Here's what I had to say about Diane, "DIANE doesn't have a part time job. SHE enjoys spending her time on the computer. SHE doesn't have a dog. SHE would like to meet Johnny Depp. HER ideal superpower would be to be able to read minds. SHE hopes to get an A in this course and one thing you should know about DIANE is that she stays on task." The power I wanted to have was to be able to stop time.
I had a spare last block so I went to the library and thought I could finish my homework before school ended. Well.. I couldn't.
Well I'm home right now and STILL not done my CC homework. I've been re-reading this booklet so many times now. I really hope I can get out of Math 12. Ugh or I'm gonna suffer through the semester. Just because I know I don't need it for graduation or entrance to any of the schools I have in mind. The grade 11 review and Mr Ahn's description of the course is scaring me enough.

That's Beano more than a year ago when we went to watch Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. We went to go find Troy but he wasn't home so we hung around the pond. The second picture is me, B and YooWa [?], Beano's little cousin. Time flies eh?
Mm I never thought that I'd miss the summer. This one was good. All of the rest, come end of August, I long for school to start. Now, 2 days into school, I want my summer back!!
After dinner, while doing the dishes, my mom tells me bout what Joey found in her room and how she reacted upon finding this "treasure". When I was in singapore, we pretty much were on a constant go the entire trip. Come time to pack up all our stuff which were scattered all over the room we had occupied for the month, my dad and I get into a small argument on how my stuff should be put in one suitcase so that he doesn't lose all my trinkets. He said that it's my fault that I'm sucha unorganized person, leaving my stuff all over the place. Proof?.....My room. Can't argue with that. I told him that 2 years ago when we came back, I got a set of elastics. They're the kind you buy in yards and you cut how much you want coz I wasn't satisfied with the ones I got here in Canada. I never got them when we came back. And they've been missing for over 2 years now. So back to this "treasure" Joey found in her closet. She decides of all days, at the end of the summer, the first day into school, to rummage through her closet and finds herself a little gift wrapped packet. In excitment, she runs to my parents' room to share her suprise. "Look!!! I found a treasure!!!! In my closet!!!" *opens packet* "I don't know what it IS but....". My mom and dad knew what it was. Lol. "Ohhh that's no treasure.. that's your SISTER'S!"
First day of grade 12. Or should I say first half hour of grade 12. School was at 11 but it seemed everyone was dying to be back. I walked out with Joey and my mom coz she started earlier then met Beano at Timmy's for breakfast. Matt and Randy were in there. It was quite packed so we ended up walking over to school early. A lot of people were there already. We popped into the career office to say hi to Mr Nguyen =). Ah good to be back.
N: So how was your vacation? You were away right?
*at the same time*
J: Good.
B: Horrible.
N: Haha, we won't go there.
Brandon and I sat in the caf and ate our breakfast. He had a sandwich, I had a cream cheese bagel. The cheese tasted weird. It wasn't creamy. It was.... kinda.. gross.. Tasted a bit like sour cream. =S! Mmm.. As the time grew closer to 11, more people showed up. Adam and Julian came by to sit with us, then Sylvia. Haha she got me this pen holder. It's supposed to be an alien wearing a weird coat with its head in the middle. The guys found it quite amusing. I don't know if I want to go there. Lol. I had math with Krissy first thing. Ugh..math. Well I hear Ahn's a good teacher so we shall see what happens. This year, there are locks on all the lockers and you're given a whole new locker combination. =( Now I gotta memorize ANOTHER one.
So yea.. a half hour in math going through what we've been through every year. We're grads now! Hooo. We didn't have to pay fees to get our agendas like last year. But to get our lockers. Hmph! Hopefully our lockers are good this year. Last year.. ugh.. I was in the middle of a busy hallway. Well... after class, Krissy and I went down to the caf tables to meet everyone else. They came over to my place, B, Jensen, Jane, Krissy, Lily, Diane.. Then we headed out to the waterpark to meet Bree and Nathan. Well.. I think it'll be a while til we next hang out like that at the waterpark. Lmao.. Diane and I were sitting under a tree in the shade. One by one everyone followed us. Lily... Peter.. then eventually Brian. XD Peter said he could make us drool. And Diane's like ok.. how. So he gives her a back massage. I don't know where he gets it or learns it. He's a pretty good.. masseuse? massoooose. Hehehe. Well Diane drooled haha.. I.. was too busy thinking about drooling. Ah it was a good massage tho. Krissy and Nathan were sitting on the deck and we told Peter to go spy on them. I told him he should roll there. Diane wanted him to do the worm. Haha. He didn't wanna roll and get grass all over him so I told him at least lie down so I can take a picture. He took a few steps towards them, laid down on the ground like a log, got up.. and did the same all the way there. Krissy and Nathan didn't know he was there. He sat on the edge of the deck and didn't say a word. Only until he rattled his keys did they realize he was there. Ah too funny. Just watching Peter inch his way there. Ah man... Priceless..Diane and I had a good laugh. After that we stopped by Javahut and Deano got us a javachino. Mmmm good stuff.
I worked my last shift last night back at the Flume [Log ride, took me forever to figure out the name of that ride *eye roll*]. It was quite boring. There was an accident just before the Portman Bridge so we had cars turning around and it wasn't on the radio til a while after we turned around and headed for the Portullo. Patullo.. Potullo.. Yes. So I was there late and even if I was on time, the ride had broken down. They had to shut down for a while but not for that long. It was a long boring night. Other than 3 huge intimidating white guys just walking straight in, nothing much happened. Well that's done. Javahut's hiring for lunchtime/afternoon hours. So I think I may look in on that one.
So... I worked again today. This time at the Kid's Playce. I had to load kids on and off miniature cars. I think I've worked my arms out. The people I worked with this time weren't so nice. I still liked yesterday's day much better. =) Yea.. that's what I did all day. Helped kids into the car, buckled them up, repeatedly. O em jee, some of them should be restricted from the ride. The seat belts aren't long enough to go around their waists. And when you have one fat kid and one little one sometimes it's alright, the buckles fit. Sometimes.. you get 2 fat kids and I have to pull the belt and squeeeeze it over them. I wonder if it actually hurts. Must be pretty darn uncomfortable sitting in the car. There were also kids who were too small and kids who threw hissy fits. This one little guy wouldn't stand by the measuring stick and he just whined and cried and ran all over the place. Guess what his dad did....... He stood there and watched!!!!!! While his son gave us the hardest time and ran all over the tracks. Well that little guy was too short anyway.
At the beginning, when the crowd wasn't so big, it was nice watching these little ones jump into a car and think they're actually steering it and their parents are so excited watching them go on their first rides all by themselves. Makes you wanna have kids. But by the end of the day... o man.. no way.. lol.
Guess what I ate today! Cookies and powerade!!! I think if I worked everyday, I'd be uber skinny.
"Crikey, me arm"
Omg.. I heard Steve Irwin [better known as The Crocodile Hunter] was killed by a stingray while shooting a documentary. Awwww he was sucha great guy!! I remember watching all his shows!!
...Just take the stick.. and whack them with it!...
So I got called up again for work today. I was at the Corkscrew this time, collecting tickets and checking stamsp again. This time height wasn't that big of a deal. Thank God.. no "accidentally" letting kids who are too short. Well.. I made a few new friends this time unlike before when I was so far away from the ride itself and I didn't talk to anyone. This time I actually had people on deck talking to me which was cool. Ran into a couple roudy people. There were these black guys who were cutting in line. It was quite scary. Hard to say that they're bad people. Like... they had tickets but no hand stamps and they were cutting. They went to get their stamps and came back later tonight and they were quite friendly. So...Lol I had a buncha guys hitting on me as well. One of the guys on deck told me that if anyone causes trouble, I can take the height stick and beat them with it. They seemed to enjoy their job, calling security and all. They took the ticket bin in a little earlier so I hung around the booth for a while. The guy in charge showed me the ride controls. It was nice.. coz you feel like... a family in a way.. everyone looks out for each other. Lol.. Yes.... I had fun tonight. Too bad I couldn't work all summer.
...when The Fair is packed with people and when the air gets cooler and there's hardly a soul at the waterpark...
"I remember when we used to knit!"
I met Deano at the waterpark yesterday. Lily and Krissy came by shortly after with Pudding [the dog]. And then after them, Jim and Beano came by on their bikes. It was kinda chilly out. But I couldn't decide if I was feeling cold or warm. We played some soccer out on the field. Ah that is a nice field. It's so green!!!! You can just roll around in it. I did lol. Diane brought her camera out this time and so she was busy snapping pictures. They turned out quite nice I must say. But.. I think it's coz of my bright yellow shirt. Hehehe. Jim was busy playing around with my phone. He loved it. Later on he was trying to balance the soccer ball between his foot and shin. It didn't quite work. But it was quite amusing watching him try.
Ever since Krissy got Brian brownies, we've been having a weird craving for some. So all of us sat outside Nester's and munched on two bite brownies.
Around 6, my mom called me up saying I had work. Greeeaaat. They call me at 6 in the evening to go to work. My dad drove me all the way down to Playland and I had my dinner in the car on the way there. Lol... I had drops of stew stains all over my shirt! When I got there, I had to enter through the back again. Cept this time it was EVEN FURTHER. Omg I worked off all my dinner. Took me a good 15 minutes to walk all the way to the gate. Then I had to go get my uniform, tag and pass then go allll the way back to the front and get changed and THEN more walking to my station. Well I collected tickets, checked stamps and measured the height of lil kids all night. Got paid from the time she called I think and that was 5ish. I didn't start work til 7 so I guess since it was on such short notice. I think it's quite interesting working there. There are so many different kinds of people there. I sat on top of the ticket bin and talked to parents waiting for their kids lol. Some were nice... some.. not so nice... and the kids and teens that went by are just somewhere in the middle. Well, it was fun... I think I'm sore from all the standing now. I got off at 11 and my dad came to pick me up. I guess it's not TOO long a drive from home to Playland. But then again 20 minutes is nothing compared to waiting at a gate for 4 and a half hours.
