...til' I can't hear them no more
Guess what my new occupation is. I'm a punching bag.
People say grade 12 is when you start to get stressed out. Work piles up and you'll always be busy and stressed out. I've never been as stressed out as I am right now. Throughout my entire schooling life, I always managed to keep up with work. My grades are always As, if not high Bs except for math which ends up a low B but still a B. I'm so glad I started drawing again and I've been doing a lot of video planning. Right now there are about 5 videos in production or waiting to be in production. Skills Canada, Corey's drug video, Scholarship videos, and commencement.
Each time I try to focus on one thing, something/someone starts poking me in the back with a stick. When I try to make everyone happy, I end up being stabbed harder with that stick. And the thing is, I know exactly what I have to do. But with so many things on my mind, I don't know how it's possible. I shouldn't even be here blogging. But hey, I DO need a break too. I'm sure I've already mentioned everything that I have to do. It seems everyone loves being mad. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I know I'm not doing anything wrong. Maybe in everyone else's minds.
Yea that's what I've been feeling lately. Like everyone wants me to be this somebody -they thought I was- or something. Like they expect me to be this certain way. What am I? A puppet?
-Macrae's mad coz we have a field trip for film studies on Friday and 3 people in her class are going and we have to find a way to make up the short story test and she won't even move it to Monday for us. But I guess she has a schedule planned.
-I'm tired of going to Art class when Nickel teaches art like she was teaching a baby how to draw a circle. No.. not even a circle, a swiggly line.
-Film's alright. At least I'm learning something and we're going to the Youth Film Festival on Friday
-Strangely enough, Geology is my favourite subject right now. It's the one course that requires using my brain and actually thinking about the concepts. But I feel so wanted in that class. I feel like it's the one class I have people who look up to me in. I pick everything up so easily and it's interesting. Milross is cool. He's strict but fair. I have to be in English because I need it to graduate. I don't have to be in Geology. I don't need it at all. But that's the only class I want to be in right now.
-Haven't been able to tutor because last week the ESL/LST room was closed coz the teacher wasn't there for the week. On Monday it decided to snow and they closed the room early as well coz teachers somehow think the flurries are gonna kill them. If it were an earthquake then ok perhaps it'd be reasonable to leave school. But come on. 3 cm of snow and the air was warm. Not gonna be slippery until the next day. And today, the kid's sick so I waited at school for a half hour for him and no one showed. His mom only called me 20 minutes after 4. 20 minutes after our lesson was supposed to be OVER. My mom said she phoned home and she sounded pissed. Not saying it's completely her fault. Coz I should have called her or something to let her know how things were doing. But 20 minutes after our lessons supposed to end? Turned out she got my email wrong and thought I wasn't replying her. -Sigh-
-Southside Jr B badminton tournament is this weekend. 2 day tournament, maybe 3 depending how far we get or how long they take to call the games. Beano wants to go snowboarding on Sunday. I haven't been since...since.. the season started. When was that? November? December??
-Our badminton league starts next Tuesday. We play at North Delta again. I'm gonna see that school so many times. Lotsa team problems. As if I didn't have enough to think about or worry about. Like I said, it seems as if people love controlling Jme and telling me what to do. Seems to have been that way for months now. If one person's happy, another isn't and all the anger and frustration gets taken out on me. Like a punching bag. Beano said not to listen to people if they're telling you what to do and trying to be in control of your actions. And here I am. I played so well yesterday. I was focused. But I guess it wasn't good enough.
Tonight I'm gonna finish reading all 9 of my short stories and make notes. Then I'm gonna have a good night's rest. Funny. Last Friday, I was happy. Couldn't have been happier. I got beaten up in 3 days. Ok.. enough complaining. Time to work.
...when you get the blues...
I looked out the window this morning and it was all rainy and.. ick.. and wet and cold. I had so many things to carry too of which my portfolio. My mom gave me a lift to school and it was party snow part rain... snrain. =|. After she dropped me off, it began to snow even harder. Then it grew dryer and dryer and soon it was snowing so hard out. The flakes were humungo!!! Mr Milross said it wouldn't stick. Well it stuck quite a bit. But all the water underneath made everything slushy. Mr Holland comes on the P.A. "Attention Staff and Students. Please, no snowball throwing." (Yea...I like my hair now.)
I wrote my Mineral test. Sat through another english short story presentation. Sat through a half hour of lunch watching soccer. They only played the first half coz of the snow. *eye roll* It snows a little bit and they close school early. What's gonna happen if there's a storm? Lol well.. I guess I ain't..complaining. Beano says I'm a very good coat rack. He loves to throw his stinky clothes and hoodies all over me and watch me poke my head over the huge pile and mumble to him through the fabric.
I worked on my portfolio in art. Slept through part of film. We continued Film Noir. Ugh... so boring. The theatre seats are so comfy. Hazemi turns off the lights. And the film itself is so dark. Well hey.. I knew what was going on. Ok maybe it wasn't that boring. But I was tired. Corey and I will be making a video on Drugs. Yay.. haha. I have it aaaaall planned out. =) It'll be sweet.
I wanted to get the superman hoodie from WM. So Diane, Beano and I went to Guildford for the day. Or well.. a few hours. We picked up a shirt for Peter from Urban Behavior, got lunch at Subway which was mm mm good, got ice cream from Purdy's. Beano got a nice cap from Lids. Then got my hoodie. And then walked to the Rec Centre. We thought there was going to be badminton but they were having some wrestling competition. Mmm. Well we ended up going to the library for a bit then got a call from the group saying they were all at Oriental Buffet. Didn't really wanna walk there in the rain. But yea.. that's what we did. Only to meet them there when they were already done eating. Great eh? They went to Blockbuster and B and I went across the street to Starbucks. My mom didn't know where it was so from THERE we walked down the street to Mac D's where we had apple pie and a milkshake.
Later on I came home, gobbled down part of my dinner and went over to the Knopp's to babysit. It was just for an hour. I thought it was going to be all night. Lol but yea.. an hour. I brought movies and star paper. Ended up teaching Megs how to make a star for a little while. Then I taught Joseph how to make a paper box so he can clean up the play room with. Lol. Hey whatever works eh? The room went from disastrous mess to ....clean. =) And after that they showed me their crazy soccer moves.
Before we moved into our house here, I wanted the guest room. Nice and bright in the day. Very roomy. I got the smallest room in the house. Today I decided. Ok I'm gonna use this room. I remembered there's a TV in here as well as the portable DVD player my dad put in for my grandmother to use when she visits. I spent the entire day in here watching movies and finishing my work. I actually got a lot done. More than what I'd get done if I was in my room! Lmao. Well.. I watched part of Walk the Line again. Then National Treasure. Then part of Superman. Then Back to the Future. I'm almost finished my portfolio. Or .. well at least you can see SOME change in it. I .....finished my Geology notes. Finished making up stuff for tutor. Did one page for film. And yea.. maybe I'll sleep in here too......Nah.. I still like my room.
Instead of Film yesterday, Corey had the RCMP officers come in again. They did a very disturbing presentation on Gangs and drugs. Ugh. At first, yea it was alright. Yea ok.. Gangs.. don't get involved. But after a while, after watching the video clips and seeing gross pictures of dead people over and over, I began to feel sick. Both bored and grossed out sick.
Today all our blocks were shortened for the Pep Rally at the end of the day. At lunch Beano and I skipped soccer and we went across the street to get some fish and chips. The pizza place started selling F&C so B wanted to try it out. 7 bucks: 2 pieces of fish, buncha fries, tar tar sauce, ketchup and vinegar. We sat in the caf with Jimmy and then Corey came by. He asked if we wanted to join the "Ultimate" team. At first I was like *pause*.. Ultimate....what? Ultimate Frisbee. It's this game you play with a frisbee and you cant run when you have possession of it. Never thought they'd have a TEAM for it though. Yea I think it'll be fun. But..I really have no time anymore. It's so weird. I don't have crazy science or math/calculus classes, but I'm soooo busy. Tutoring, badminton, videoing, drawing, movie-watching, home-working. My god. I think I gotta stop working so hard on certain things, like Geology. I'm not sure why exactly I'm in that class. I won't be able to drop it because my courses are all slack already. Not sure if dropping art would be a good idea. Film I shouldn't drop. But ahhhh @_@.
We watched. Film Noir? Or is that the type of film. I'm not sure. It was a black and white movie about an insurance seller.
The Pep rally happened. This year's was a tad bit more interesting. Just coz the Bhangara dancers are included. Something new. They're so crazy. And the funny thing is, Stacy's the only Caucasian girl in the group, but she's the best dancer. Jerica also came back to sing for us. Mm and as usual, Pep squad. OH and this dude, Quinn Spicker. He did a little juggling thing for us. I'll post the video tomorrow. He's amazing. He could prob join the circus already.
After school I had a craving for ice cream. So I got a cookie ice cream sammich. Beano loved it. He was so happy when he was eating it. So cute. =P We played some badminton and yes. Had dinner out with Uncle Richard, Aunty Sharon and Zoe at Eastside Mario's. Their soup's so good. Mmmm
PNE sent me a "We need you back" -to work- card. Now I have yet another thing to think about, work over the summer. I mean.. 8.95 an hour as compared to the regular 8 in retail. Good eh? But then again, I'm not the one driving. Hmm skytrain? Ugh.. I'll leave that to sit on my desk for a while.
I'll be going sh sh sh shopping with Diane tomorrow. Finally some Jamie-Diane time. Hehehe. I wanna get another hoodie from Wal-Mart. Those are so pimp. And maybe another milo. Brandon stole mine. And I have his favourite Harley Davidson cap sitting on my desk.
Matt and Randy's team played again today. Best game so far. Both teams were tied 1-1 right until the very end.
In other recent news. Grace made Team BC! She plays provincially now! =D How cool is that? I should get autographs.
Brandon passes the ball to Corey who's right at the net. Corey misses the assist. Cady ends up getting it and she's farther away from the net. She boots it and...Gooooooal!
We went to Uncle SH's for CNY dinner as usual. They had part of our dishes ordered out like that weird plater of meat. Yeesh. Yea it was pretty much a regular dinner with some CNY special on TV. O man. DY was so cute. SE got him this little Chinese gown. So adorable. My mom gave him an orange and everyone poked their cameras in his face while he sat there looking all innocent and cute. He posed!! Later that night we watched The Illusionist. O man. It's so crazy. My next favourite movie. It was kinda like the Da Vinci Code but not so serious and not so creepy. It's like a romance movie but really really deep. =D Ah I loved it.
Beano came over in the afternoon and we watched The Illusionist again. Hehehe. There's this one part where the boy makes the girl a butterfly locket. It's the shape of a capsule and when you twist it, it turns into a heart and you have to slide it to get it open. =D!! The entire movie was sort of sepia-ish coloured with a vignet around it. So we did that. Made noodles for lunch and then at around 3 we went for a walk. He said it was as if we were right in between Winter and Summer. Right on the line. There were dark clouds on one side of FH and sun on the other. The air was cold and crisp but the sun was bright and warm. =) Good day.
Well it's late now. Lots to do tomorrow. "Yay-ness"
Practice again on Thursday. My thighs and shoulders were still sore. Sylvia and I were trying to get our smashes solid. All my shots are sliced now. And sometimes I completely miss shots. That's bad!! Practice was so-so. After, I was in the cafeteria with Brandon and this guy comes storming around the corner in a brown bathrobe, grey sweats and pink slippers. Lmao. Jensen and Sylvia were supposed to wait for Hogen outside coz they were going to hang out. But everyone was still in the gym talking. Ah so Hoge was all "!#*!)@* I told you to go outside and wait for me!"
My head was spinning in circles on Thursday night. So much to think about. I'll be tutoring this grade 8 kid 3 days a week, an hour each day. And since I've never tutored before and this lady seemed really nice, 10$/hour. Mr Derbyshire said it goes from 10-12 an hour. So yea, humanities which is language arts and social studies.
So here's what went through my head on Thursday night: Art portfolio to finish. Art assignments to finish. Gonna take me 3-4 hours. Geology and English will take me a half hour. Hair cut Friday. Still don't know what style to cut. Go to Adam, Julian and Peter's birthday party? No money. Moxies and laser tagging? No money. In Langley? How to get there? No money. Chili at Sylvia's? Oh, Back to the Future project with Sylvia. How would I get to Sylvia's from Surrey Central. Bus. Need bus route. Who's going? Go alone? Movie with Brandon and his brothers? 7pm. After haircut go to Metro with Peter. How are we gonna get back. 3 hours to spare before movie. Idea for video. 1 and a half months left. Long weekend. Ugh Monday. Confrontation.
Well my Friday turned out pretty well. Apart from having lots on my mind and Beano's phone being dead and me unable to call him to let him know what's going on. He came over in the morning and we were supposed to wait for Peter to come pick us up. We ended up walking to his place since we were early. Went to pick up another of Peter's friends then his mom drove us to Surrey Central. From there we trained to Granville and walked to this "really good japanese hair place". On the train there was a grade 1 class of kids out on a fieldtrip. So cute. All of them screamed when the train moved. And there was this old guy sitting infront of us. B said it was the old guy who acted in the Tim Hortons commercial. "Double-double"
Lol The reason I went was coz Peter said they were really good. So yea, the 4 of us went down there. Urg it was cold out there. The place was really..japanese-y. They had jap music playing, jap magazines everywhere. Most of the stylists if not all were japanese too. The guy asks me to go with him and he takes me outside. I was like..um... where are we going?! They have another unit 2 shops down. So my stylist was this... older..but still young lady. Lol. She was pregnant I think. Peter mentioned her before. So she takes out these style books. Then spends about 2 minutes looking at my hair and flipping through magazines. Then eventually picks one and shows it to me. It was still kinda thick when she cut it. I was like ahhhhhh. She left the top part long and cut the back. I couldn't feel a think when she was cutting. She lifts up bits of my hair, *snip*. Lol. She cut the insides of my hair with her thinning scissors short and leaves the outside long. So it still looked relatively the same. When she was "done", she showed me the back in the mirror. And I was like.. O_O...O_o... it.. looks the same. So I told her to cut it shorter. And to cut my bangs shorter. O man. Takes out the scissors and cuts a straight line across my forehead. Then in my mind I was thinking.. Ohhhh no.... I told her not too straight. I think she knew what she was doing. But how good she was? Eee.
Took about an hour and 20 minutes. Lol..Peter was right. In that time, I could see Brandon walk down the street in the reflection of the mirror. Then he'd walk back up. Lmao. He came back with some Starbucks, orange juice and a snickers bar. He was flipping through the magazines and apparently had a hairstyle picked out for me. Lmao "Don't worry. You'll get a good one next time". *Gasp* *Whack!* "It looks cute!"
The shampoo girl washed my hair then gave me some..weird massage. It wasn't very long. Ugh.. horrible part. When they start blow drying my hair. It was SOOOOO fluffy. O man. And by that time everyone was done their hair. Peter and his friend, Betty were standing behind me. Then I can see Beano in the mirror smiling at me. Peter giving me this look of.. I don't know what it was. Like.... disgust.. but not quite. Oh man. Well then she put wax in my hair. And ICK. It calmed it down but ick. That stuff sticks to your hands and makes it gross.
Stopped by Starbucks and Beano said the red tea latte was really good. So for the walk back, it kept me warm. I love it downtown. There's this huge library there. It's the shape of a Colosseum. Very cool. Lol Peter was talking about a buffalo that we walk pass on the way there. I thought he was talking about a store. When we get there, there's this live size... buffalo statue. "Look there's the buffalo I told you about!" Trained to Metro to pick up presents and play a quick game of ID [Racing]. B and I played guitar freaks? Like guitar hero. Then he wanted to try the new plane.....flying...game..thingy Lol I don't remember the name. He's pretty good at it. The whole seat was supposed to move but I was standing too close to the simulator so it didn't move. The whole time I was wondering why it didn't move. Then he said it's a censor. Aww I felt bad after. Oops! We were standing in the middle of the walk way with people walking around us. And Peter looks at me, takes my hat off and starts styling it. SO weird! Does his little twisting together of the hairs. Pulling the hair at the side down. Oh god. Beano was standing at the side cracking up.
We got dropped off at Guildford and Bran and I went for food, curry at the food court. He got us a plate of 2 types of curry with rice, a samosa, shiskabob [?], naan and pop. Mmm it was good. One of the curries tasted like ketchup. Lol. After that he felt like cinnamon rolls so we stopped by Cinnzeo. This lady walks up to my and hands me a folded pink slip and stands right by me. I'm thinking. Um... what..? I opened the paper and there were some hand signs written on it. She wanted me to give her a donation for it. All the change I had was a quarter lol and Beano had 6 cents. So.. 31 cents to the deaf people. We then visited Troy. B fiddled with the guitar and we listened to a buncha Incubus.
At around 6 we started walking to the theatre where we met Jim and Dustin. Dustin goes "WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR!!! IT WAS SO FREAKIN CRAZY BEFORE!!!" Lol. Well glad he liked it before. We got pizza and twerpz. Mmm good stuff. Andrew showed us the theatre and what's behind the big screen. It's all speakers, all the way up to the top of the screen. Watched Ghostrider. Awesome movie. It was so weird but cool at the same time. These weird ghoul-y like creatures kept popping up. But the Ghostrider was cool. He's all flamey. Ahh!!! I loved the music too.
So that's all the fun I'll be having this weekend. Now I gotta go finish all of those things that were on my mind Thursday night. I can't remember if I listed all the comments about my hair. Joey and Brandon said I look like a mushroom. Bran also said I looked cute and like a doll. Dustin freaked out and said he liked it so much better before. Troy said it was good. My mom said it looks "mod". My dad said it looks ok. Well...I guess what it all comes down to is, it's different.
I don't recall this many girls running around school holding bunches.. and bouquets of roses, chocolates, chocolates shaped as hearts, teddy bears, cards, heart shaped cards.
I went out 2 minutes earlier this morning lol and popped into Timmy's to get Beano a breakfast sammich, his favourite. Mmm. He drew me a picture of a rose and wrote stuff on the back. =) And he wrote and sang me a song. <3 =D. Lugged his guitar all the way to school, played me that one song. Ahhh~
We played with minerals in Geology. Nick kept calling them rocks and Milross was gonna throw rocks and minerals at him so he'd get it right. Lol. It was fun. Nick and I did the mineral identification sheet. We went through 15 different minerals; tested colour, hardness, streak, lustre, cleavage, etc etc. Ah that class is so fun. The other day when we were copying notes, Milross couldn't form his sentences without any sexual content in it. "So in Geology, we study cleavage. We'll identify different types of cleavage.. good cleavage? no cleavage? We'll be doing some streaking later. I mean.. finding the streak of the mineral. And tomorrow.. Geology's fun for both the gents and the ladies. Tomorrow we'll be learning about hardness." O man. Fun stuff
Well then. Beano and I watched soccer at lunch. There was this dude. He ripped his sleeves, cut a huge V down the front and wore it over a tight blue camo shirt and wore white short shorts. Freaky stuff. You could see his underwear through it. No not boxers. Briefs! Ugh.. so gross. He didn't exactly have a nicely built and proportioned body either. Ick. Brandon called him GI-Jane.
"What the heck is the lithosphere?"
We'll be having practices the rest of the week. Practice was supposed to be at 4:30 but the juniors had 3 courts free. And since they always take our courts, B and I went on earlier. We rallied with Raf and Peter for a bit. Then with Waina. B and I clashed rackets. Owie. The pro ace has a chip in it. Luckily just paint. Not the frame. I watch Peter and Ke-li and Andy etc etc break their rackets so easily. Ick. I can't break any rackets now!! Not when it's our last year and we have league play coming up.
So here's what happened at Provincial qualifiers yesterday. We played at North Delta Secondary against Semiahmoo, Maple Ridge, and Pinetree. Very depressing. Sylvia and I played Midori and her partner first. Ick. They stacked one of the girls teams and the other was so-so. =( Then we played against Pinetree. Ugh. dejavu. We always have trouble with Pinetree. But the thing is we had an advantage. Angela and her partner got crushed by Semi apparently. I don't know how. But yes. She wasn't very happy when she got on. We just had to blow it. The second team. Ugh those grade 11s. They aren't even good. I don't understand. They hit weak clears so often. But their smashes are like POW. Grrr... Gonna get them back at playoffs.
I made Beano walk around with the video camera to film all our games. He's so funny. The entire time making fun of what everyone looked like. We were sitting by the court watcing the games. Then he saw this big-ish dude. He was sooo horrible. Well.. let's just say he calls the guy Ogre. Then I said one of the singles dudes looks like the sloth from Ice Age. Sid!! I think the team's talked about this before. We have the most decent, normal and good looking players. Cept for maybe Maple Ridge. Their team's got pretty good looking players. Yea so he was busy doing that, making me look like a terrorist by wrapping my BK shirt around my head. Then laughing at me.
Overall, FH came in 3rd I think. There was no point in continuing playing Semi coz MR and PT already got in. Phooie =(
World Cup begins once again. I'm not sure what the teams were today. I got England.. and....hmm.. Italy? No idea what Matt and Randy are [Picture to the right: I love their shirts. They're too cool. Stenciled and spray-painted]. Well first up was Maroon vs Light Green. We all figured Matt's team was gonna win no problem. But their goalie let in 2 easy goals. Score became 4-2 for green. =( Second half was Red [England] and Pink. Mr Gill played for England. He's so pro at soccer. Yea, that game was very boring. Tomorrow Beano's team plays. Team Purple! =D I can't remember which country. =S
My mom made pineapple tarts today. Chinese New Year's coming up next week so, yes, it's that time of the year again. I spent my day drawing, looking for trailer music and I watched Little Miss Sunshine again. Uncle SH and Aunty Wendy came by with DY for a little bit. Oh I also changed my sheets! Woot! My room however is...messier than before. Somehow I manage. Now I gotta go clear the floor, read my geology text and ah, sleep.
One tournament after another. I love it. I just filled in a form for the Southside Badminton Association Jr "B". Now Yumo's coming up. I went to the Yumo Invitational last year. Didn't get to play coz I couldn't decide in time whether I wanted to so I just went to watch. This next one is Yumo open team tournament. 10 players, 12 max. Each team gets to personalize their own shirts. It sounds cool.
I spent the entire day doing this and there's still a part that doesn't quite match up. I think I need to take the camera out again. I don't even know where it is.
High above the chimney tops. That's where you'll find me.
...My heart is yours. It's you that I hold...on...to. Yea that's what I'll do...
We had one final practice today. It wasn't that great. =S Tomorrow we have provincials at LA Matheson. We play against Guildford Park, LA Matheson and Johnston Heights. Pep squad's got their new costumes already. It's pretty cool. Black top with checkered pattern on the front of their vests. Long white/pink socks. Pink milos and bandannas.
Last night, while Joey was looking through e-cards, she came across Smile Day cards. People love inventing special days. Well apparently today, Feb 8th, is smile day. So... happy smile day!
I started drawing again. I haven't done so in ages. So last night I drew a buncha things and painted them a light layer of paint.
Now that I don't have a spare block, my days seem so much longer. Every second of the day I'm thinking: Omg I have videos due in less that 2 months. I have assignments to finish. Research to do. I have badminton to practice for. World Cup soccer's coming up. I have to read. I have to take my license. I want to blog. I want to draw. I want to make a story book. I need to....
Well I guess on the plus side, I won't be bored and I have lots of things to look forward to like World Cup Soccer at FH which starts on Monday. Beano got his shirt today. It's deep purple! Mm and tomorrow we'll have practice and Friday, we begin Provincial qualifying rounds to qualify for the qualifying round to get into provincials. Oyyy. Over the weekend, FH had their grad trip to...Sun Peaks? I think? Somewhere in the interiors to go snowboarding/skiing. Corey wiped out and broke a couple bones; just below his eye and his thumb. =( But... he's still quite happy here. =P
Monday funnies
First day of a new and our last semester of highschool. Yay! Geology was cool. English was cool. Art was cool. Film was...cool. lol. At break, I went to LeGresley's room with Beano and Jessica was there. She turns to look at me while LeGresley flipped through a couple sheets of paper and asks, "Did you colour your hair?" I knod but just as I was about to talk about it. LeGresley goes, "OH YES...In fact...yatta yatta yatta." Lmao. Brandon and I walk away slowly. Lol.. Wow...I haven't had her class before but she seems like a nice person. Always thanking me whenever we walk by each other in the hallways for helping her. Beano doesn't agree lmao. He's so funny. "What... she seems nice." *Widens eyes* *Presses lips together tightly* *Shakes head*
Last day to chill before new semester begins. Beano, his cousin Don and I went to watch Pan's Labyrinth. I was expecting a really...crazy.. Lord of the Rings fantasy type of movie. Well.. It was bloody. Very eeesh. They show people being shot close up. They showed the guy being sliced at the lip. It was no Saw III but.. ick if the music was different it woulda been pretty close. Yea.. it wasn't THAT great plot wise. But the animation and stuff was ok. Loved the creepy dude with his eyes in his palms. That scene was scary but I liked that dude.
Beano came over yesterday after his Geography provincial. We hung out, watched Borat on my laptop and We went to Fraser Heights for badminton. Well 40 minutes of badminton. Mr Nguyen decided he didn't want to stay =(. It was supposed to go til 4:30. We had to be out by 3:30. And yea, Beano had to go at 3:30 too so. The rest of us went to Guildford to pick up a present for Jane. Adam and I got there first so we went to Kin's market and got a couple apples. 88 cents for 2 apples. They were yum. Then we went to the dollar store and got some cards and I got me some whistle candy!! =D I gave everyone one and all of them were just whistling their way down the mall.
We split up. Jensen, Jane.. Julian.. and Raf went to get dinner at Boston Pizza. Diane, Adam, Alice and I went to "shop". I still gotta get presents for Peter and Julian. Aiii. Maybe I'll just chip in for presents and get cards. So many people have birthdays in February. Great thing about having lots of friends eh?
Mm so yea that was Friday. Today I coloured my hair red and went golfing with Beano and Yoo Hwa, Beano's little cousin. She was all excited. Her dad got her a puppy. A little border collie. He's soooooo adorable.
Golfing seemed a lot more difficult this time. I remember last time I hit that ONE good shot. After that I was so happy. It took me forever to hit a decent shot this time. It was pretty cold out there too. Between the 3 of us we hit 2 baskets of golf balls. I think my knuckles are gonna be sore tomorrow. Yoo Hwa was crushing me. She just whacks all the balls no problem.
(1) Ok so there's me hitting the ball a couple times. You can't see the ball but the first hit was good. The rest sucked. And I couldn't hit it properly after that. Yoo Hwa always clapped when I hit it properly though. =) She said I needed more "Ooomf". More power. lmao. She's so cute
(2) And then there's Beano hitting. He takes 2 swings. Then hits it. And at the corner Yoo Hwa steals the last golf ball and runs away. Lol
After golfing, B's grandparents came to pick us up and we went to the dollar store to get the puppy something to chew on and a leash. Got back just before 5 and then my parents came to pick me up. We went for dinner at this... yes this restaurant in Coquitlam. Chinese *slash* western. Fusion? Joey had baked spaghetti and I had some chicken alfredo. They're all the same.
Mmmm one more day before school starts. =( I don't have my spare anymore. Next semester I'll have Geology, English, Art and Film. Yay-ness!
Joey mentioned chances of an earthquake next week. Gasp!
Before we left the house, I told my mom everything I needed her to tell the lady who was going to cut my hair. "Make sure she doesn't pull out her thinning scissors and start cutting my hair from the scalp. And I don't want it too short. And make sure she doesn't cut my hair to look like some old person."
So.. she had her thinning COMB this time. She goes on *scrape scrape scrape*. In about 10 minutes she was done. My hair, obviously all poofed up from when she sprayed it with water. Yea I didn't like it. I never like it when they first cut it. When she was doing my mom's hair, they talked about it. And we agreed on cutting the top even shorter. Yarr. I don't know if that was a good thing. It seemed good at that time. But now.. I think it woulda been better longer. But no... Maybe I need to cut the back shorter. And put some colour into my hair. I don't know what it is now. It's just.. shorter. I keep glancing back at the mirror as if hoping it'd somehow change and look cooler lol. My sister said it was the shape of a heart. D= !!! I think next time I'll go even shorter. Either I've lost weight or... short hair DOESN'T make my face look fat! Hmmph. Seemed like the only thing holding me back from cutting it short other than my coarse wiry hair.
