[Multi Project Shoot]

Photobucket

Vincent needed the green screen to do this compositing assignment. So did Ty. I needed an interview set for my cinematography documentary.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I got Hogen to come by to help out as well and so he was the weather man for Ty's project.

[Creative Craze]

Yes I'm still going on and on about Lomography. As of now I still think it's the craziest thing ever invented. While I was out job hunting, I took some pictures!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Brandon took this picture. I just spiced it up a bit.

[Summer heat]

Photobucket James sporting my sunglasses

Must be something wrong with my head. I think I'm getting slower these days. =S! It hasn't hit me yet that winter has come and gone and it's getting warm again! Summer is here already!

I love A.i. Simple because they have air conditioning and I can actually feel the difference for once. It actually FEELS like the a/c unlike at the mall where the temperature is just regulated.

[Relay For Life]

Photobucket

Photobucket

Ever since last year when Brandon's uncle got really ill with cancer, his family has been a part of Bury Cancer. I just learnt that his uncle Steve is the founder of the group. They attended Relay for Life last year as well as this year after his uncle passed away.

Photobucket

I know of a few people who have been through cancer and I know that my mom is doing what she can to get us all to eat healthier.

Photobucket

I joined Brandon and his family this year for the run as I wasn't able to before. Relay for life is a 12 hour run/walk. It goes on from 7pm to 7 in the morning and many groups set up their tents to show their support to beat cancer. Each team must have at least one person on the track at all times either running or walking. The entire night is filled with activities for family and kids.

Photobucket

People were celebrating, people were remembering and people were fighting. Lots of people were happy for all their friends and family who have beat cancer and are healthy as ever today. Many cried as they walked around the track, standing by their paper bags with their loved one's name on it (the track was lined with white paper bags that were lit up with candles when it got darker and each family wrote their wishes to the people they have lost to cancer. it was quite pretty. I was unable to get a good picture of it).

Photobucket

Brandon and I ran for the first bit. Then walked for the next hour. I think we stopped around past midnight. The family and friends of his uncle barbequed meat and hot dogs for dinner.

Photobucket

Bno and I slept in the tent until it got bright out. Lol We didn't get any sleep. When we got up in the morning, we packed everything up. People were still on the track.

[Green Screening]

Photobucket

We've been scooting along with school stuff. Learning and what not. It hasn't stopped. I still feel like there's so much more to learn though. Not there yet.

[BBQ Reunion]

Photobucket

Corey's back from New Brunswick. Heard he found it boring. I have yet to see him since he's been back. Probably should call him up one day soon.

Photobucket

Sylvia is also back! The whole group got together for BBQ at Julian's place. Last week. Wait.. the week before? Yea...

[Dream Job]

Troy found an ad in the paper. Cirque had a job fair. Kinda like when PNE had their fair. He called me up in the morning and asked if I wanted to go. "Since it IS your dream job". I got dressed and we headed downtown to check it out.

Photobucket

I love it downtown. There are so many interesting buildings. So many interesting people. I found out that VFS is in the building where we had our interviews. Will know by tomorrow when the second interviews are and whether or not we get the jobs. They're looking to fill 200 spots and around 500 people went in in the past few days. =S It'd be awesome to work for them. I know it's just random jobs like ushering or just working in merchandize. But still!!!! Then at least I'll have work for the summer. I also will have shifts at the cafe for the next 3 weeks as one of the girls is on vacation. Sweeeet. What will I do after these measly shifts that are temporary? Well.. we'll see! But I can't wait for Corteo! One bad thing is, if Troy and I get the jobs, it means our tickets are a waste! We get to watch Corteo for free! I still want to bring Brandon to watch it though.

[Pro]

Photobucket

Not sure how we started playing tennis. I think it was Brandon who brought it up one day that he felt like playing tennis so ever since then (which wasn't too long ago), we've been out by the tennis courts whacking balls until it gets dark.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

The first time Diane and I played tennis, all our balls would fly out of the court over the fence and across the street. Ah..Actually getting better at it now.

[Urges]

I know I should wait until I have a job and save up enough before getting what I want. Must... get... Lomo...LC-A.... I guess I should keep doing more research. I know I'll be getting a Lomo and the tote bag for it. There are so many accessories. The Colour Splash is much cheaper so I unno. The LC-A is compact and has much more accessories.

[Honeydew Sago]

Photobucket

My first attempt at making my favourite dessert. =)! Yea some of the sago kinda clumped together. Only because I was in a rush! And the milk hadn't cooled properly yet and I put both together so I guess it melted and cooled again and formed clumps. I also didn't add enough sugar but my mom fixed that so.. it tastes good!!!

Colour Splash

Photobucket

Jmerz really wants a Lomo Camera!

Photobucket

The original Lomo camera costs 100 bucks (the one up here). I figure it has a better lens. But I'm considering the Colour Splash. (Must.... get.... job!.... Need.....monies!!)

[Stampede]

Today's an ordinary day. Lately I've been trying to help around more at home and keeping myself busy and keeping a clear mind. I did the laundry this morning and did some ironing. Went back up to my room for a bit and then decided to made lunch before I started any work. It's quite crazy how much I got done in 2 hours. So while I'm making my lunch, the phone rings and it's my mom. She tells me that she's "bringing back a whole bunch of yappy ladies". Now THAT'S a warning. So I joked around and said "Should I be scared? Is this a warning? Gotta make sure everything is in place and run and hide before they get here?". Lol Well I wasn't joking and she wasn't joking when she said whole bunch of yappy ladies. It's QUITE the scary thing when the entire house is sooo quiet all morning and the second these women enter, it's like AHHHWAHHHHHYEEEAKKIIIOO. Basically everyone talks at once. And it's not muffled like in a huge crowd. Somehow you can almost pick out what everyone is saying. I ran. It's been about 2 hours and they're still just as loud. Yes I've yet to step out of my room.

[In my Mind]

Decided to go through my sketches and doodles that I have compiled in the last few months.

Photobucket

I drew this one a while ago back in highschool.

Photobucket

From a photo I took of Brandon eating a burger at A&W.

Photobucket

Inspired by the movie C.R.A.Z.Y.

Photobucket

I started drawing these people when I started getting obsessed with circus folk.

Photobucket

Drew this one recently when I started discovering all my flaws. I call it the "Monster in Me"

Photobucket

This is going to be my production company logo.

[That's so 80s]

Photobucket

I decided that I need to start getting more involved in school activities so I volunteered to help out at the 80's Dance which happened last night. From what I heard, the Cupid's Ball which happened around Valentines, was incredibly horrible and way worse than a high school dance.

Last night, we had about at the most 10 people in the sound stage at once. Pretty sad. We used this opportunity to film one of our scenes for our Metaphor assignment. So I guess it wasn't too bad. I also scored a job. Unpaid but at least it's something! I'll be working as a PA on a shoot at the end of the month.

[Shooting it 2 ways]

Photobucket

I had to act in this one. =S! Now even though I only had 2 lines both consisting of 2-3 words which were basically the same two lines, it was an excruciating hour or so in that little apartment with 3 lights pointed towards us.

[Cinematography Cont'd]

Photobucket Our Cinematography midterm consisted of a 2 page questionnaire (each question worth 10 marks or more =S) followed by a lighting assignment.

Photobucket

Then we broke into groups again and did more lighting

[Oriental Buffet]

Photobucket

Bno and I decided we'd head over to get Oriental Buffet. We wanted to go somewhere we've never been. Cept, Brandon's been pretty much everywhere. It wasn't spectacular. Wasn't too bad. Lol.

[Random in class youtube-ing]

Currently working on concepts and DOPing for a shoot out test shoot for James. I did up a basic story board and he has a lot more in mind so I have lots of research to do. I decided to look up scenes on youtube and well.... here's what I found instead..

I posted another video from Baraka a few weeks back when we watched it in class. I have yet to find the DVD in stores [Well I haven't really been looking. And I have no money to buy it anyway]

Another movie I must watch. Heard many great things about it and it's a must have. Very inspirational and mind blowing. Before I die, I must see every inch of the earth.

KA - Jmerz must watch this.

And Alegria

Just fixed up the clips and added music. Can't really do much about the cuts since we had to keep stopping when Jo forgot her lines. Or when she started laughing.

Hoo hoo.. Gives me the shivers just watching it. Makes me so happy

[Mr Pitiful - Matt Costa]

Saw this music video at the theatres when Bno and I watched movies yesterday. We watched Harold and Kumar & Forbidden Kingdom. Both good movies. Lol Forbidden Kingdom was strange. You can tell it's an American production. The dialogue is WEIRD. The fight scenes are awesome though. And I love the set designs.

I like this music video too

[W. Shakespeare]

Many things have been going on in my life. People have mentioned a -mid life crisis-. I don't think I've reached mid life. However, a crisis is at hand!

I'm starting to realize many many things in my life that haven't been very right. We seem to hide from reality. We hide from what potentially could become serious issues.

It makes me sad to have discovered and realized that only now. But I guess 19 is an ok number. I still have many years to go. =P

People don't talk anymore. People are so wound up in their lives that they start to go crazy. People start hating each other over silly things.

I'd like to know that this world still has hope. I'd like to know that there are people out there who are different and people who understand how to be an individual.

People stereotype. People judge. People fear. People attack. People defend. I'm not sure if I could continue writing on this topic and actually get everything I want to say about it in this entry. But here's something to think about:

Joey had a quote written on a piece of paper from a chocolate she ate. It read:

"Love All.
Trust a Few
Do wrong to None
-W. Shakespeare"

It made me smile. It gave me some hope.
